Excuse my poor Photoshop skills. Seeing that 12 logo everywhere on Patriots socials makes me think we’re going to see Brady’s number retired.

Does anyone also think that’s going to happen, and if so, how should it be displayed?

Looking forward to tomorrow. LFG.

  1. I’m surprised Bill didn’t offer it to Mac Jones as some kind of weird psychological test.

  2. Kraft hasn’t retired any numbers since he’s been the owner. 12 is likely going to be the only exception to that pattern.

  3. When’s the last time a jersey was retired by the patriots? I thought for sure teddy would have his

  4. I don’t think so. There’s only so many Jersey numbers, and we’ve had so many historically great players at this point that retiring Brady’s number will lead to discussions about retiring 54, 75, 24, 11, 87, 32, 18, etc.

I def wouldn’t want to see a Brady banner on equal level with the SB banners. Those were team achievements.

  5. They should retire it from the league, rename the MVP trophy to the Tom Brady QB trophy. MVP and offensive player of the year both existing is pretty useless since its almost always a QB anyways.

  6. I think we should do it so it’s up there when we raise the Super Bowl banner at next years opener.

Because it would be awkward to raise it next to a banner that Mac won.

  7. Even if the didn’t officially retire it, I can’t imagine any player being bold enough to wear it.
