Already love Steichen
I can’t believe we went for it 5 times on 4th down lol
I’m not here to say I liked Frank. Because it’s only week one. But, I’m planting a seed..
Run game ain’t even close to good enough to waste two snaps on every possession.
Hey, it’s obvious steichen wants to be aggressive on 4th down… But before that we need to be consistent on 3rd downs. Overall, I’m not upset with his play calling today. There’s gonna be great ups and downs with him all season especially with him being so young and wanted to do those gutsy calls… As colts fans, please don’t call for his throat until after this season please. This is our year to develop richardson and see how steichen calls. We need to be patient and trust in the process.
I’m fine with being aggressive, but let’s maybe get some weapons that can run and catch the ball first. Sometimes a field goal is the right option especially when you have Gay in a closed stadium
The nice thing about a new HC is that he gets his first year to figure out what pieces from the old regime simply do not work, and can get rid of them without any attachments.
He did pretty bad at playcalling today, but we’ll see what he learned and how he responds next week.
Yeah man, you were pretty fucking bad.
Idk they also did not make Matt gay the highest paid kicker to not use him lol
Shane’s got the same problem Frank had: way too much confidence in this OL to get a push on short yardage.
I think this season will show the reset button needa to be fully hit here. We just arent good in most places. I will say I was very impressed with our defensive front today.
Bro going for it on every 4th down as if we didn’t just hand out the biggest contract ever for a Kicker. Take the points man.
Had a great time at the game today for starters. I think Richardson looked pretty good in his first NFL game (that counts.)
I was somewhat disappointed with the use of running game, it went east-west far too much, they couldn’t really get any yardage with it today. They didn’t hardly throw anything deep, all the passing was mostly short outs. Anthony does have a habit of staring down his receivers and that got him in trouble. Sheesh, I wish these receivers would get more separation too.
Defense was pretty solid for 3Q but a bit suspect on the deep balls. Loved the pressure they were giving today up front.
Can anyone tell me where our Oline is? Just saying, I think that had a lot to do with the run game.
Way better answer than Frank Reich ever gave in five seasons.
I think everybody forgot we had a rookie QB and a rookie HC once we started winning. Steichen has zero HC experience, we knew the growing pains were gonna happen when we hired him. Chill out everybody, its Week 1
I’m glad to see him taking ownership. I like this guy and I definitely want him as our HC. I’m optimistic that he can be successful.
That being said, he’s got some things to shore up and it’s gonna take a while for him to get his pieces in there. Patience, my friends. Patience.
Do t know what he was thinking calling runs on 1st and 2nd down on the drive before the punt return. The line isn’t as good as they are paid to be and the backs aren’t good enough to make up for it.
