Apologize.

  1. Got nothing to apologize for, Gutey’s always been my guy, you guys are just impatient 😊

  2. There’s a lot of media talking heads (Adam Schein) who are going to ~~eat a lot of crow~~ pretend they loved Love all along.

  3. Everyone talks about the front office sucking and all that, I get it. Can we for once respect that Love, just like Rodgers, stuck around being a “backup” for the “prime” of his “rookie” career? We all arm chair quarterback this shit but there is a reason that Love stuck around.

  4. Yeah, I do, wholeheartedly. My apologies Mr. Gutekunst. You were right and I (a service professional who takes great umbrage when my clients disagree with me, who knows literally absolutely nothing about fielding and managing a football team and knows better than to disagree with people who clearly know more than me) was sure f’n a wrong. I will not make the same mistake in the future.

  5. It’s 1 week. I would say that if it was win, lose or tie.

It was a good week. I’m not crowning their ass.

  6. Not yet. It’s just week one. We gotta see how the team does against teams not named Chicago too.

  7. Don’t you think it’s a touch early to make that call? Yeah, good outing but it’s always possible the bears just suck like they always do. Lots of football yet to play.

  8. I’ll apologize if we go into bye week at the top of the NFC north. That’s enough of a sample size in my opinion to know for sure

  9. I said it the day we picked Love: that was either the worst pick of that draft or the best pick of all time.

  10. No need. Our team has a certain history. Jordan against the eagles is what everyone’s been talking about. Had shades of Rodgers replacing farve against dallas. Jordan STARTING against the chiefs is when i knew this kid had something. Here is to us rebuilding around a young offense. Here is to us competing against everyone’s expectations. And last but certainly not least, here is to.us learning how to take a step into the new Era of our team!

  11. After one game. You guys are nuts. I thought the love pick was horrible. When you have a closing window to get to the Super Bowl and your superstar QB could use some help talent speed a horrible pick at the time no doubt. We are here to get to Super Bowls to win championships not beat a sorry bear team and be satisfied not me. Sure I like to win to games on our way to a championship. Love hasn’t proved anything talk to us in January. Maybe if we had surrounded Favre and Rodgers with more talent we would have 6-7 Lombardi’s not 4. Sorry no fucking way am I apologizing.

  12. I won a bunch of money the year they drafted him. I bet that packers would trade up and draft Love in the first and Dillion in the second.

  13. Not about Love, about he treated and undermined 12 for a team to win championships. Also, The real problem is Murphy

  14. No.

I’m one of the few people that thought this was a great move when it happened. In fact, I text my girlfriend on draft night, “This was a really fucking smart pick”.

She’s a Bears fan so she text back “you suck”. Well who sucks now? You do.

If you’re reading this, I **Love** you. 😘

  15. Will apologize when the Lombardi comes back with Love at the helm. Still 16 weeks in the season.

  16. Meanwhile Aaron will be torched in his Jets debut. How did he think going to a loaded AFC was smart, again?

  17. I’ve been visiting this sub every day for years now and let’s just say there should be a lot more apologies here

  18. Today was a game where I got to explain a little more about football to my 60 year old mom who has always hated football. She was amazed as I kept saying “and this is that guys first year on the team! And this is HIS first year as a starter. And that guys was a rookie last year but is in a bigger role now” she thought it was so cool that we have the youngest team in the league.

Combine that with Alexander, Gary, Douglas, Campbell, etc etc. The deep young O line in general. D line in general.

(And of course Clark and D Bak and Jonesy)

I think some people may have been a little too harsh and excitably negative.

  19. Every Day One of the draft I curse this man, and every time he schools me on why he is the GM and I’m just a random fanboi. In Gutey We Trust!

  20. They beat the bears…. That’s like in college where some power 5 team beats up on some smaller school as a warm up game. That’s what this was.
