Does anyone believe he will be the one to turn the franchise around? Will we win a championship with him?

    No.

    >Will we win a championship with him?

    No.

Was anyone excited about hiring this guy? Same old typical galaxy brain Bears hire.

  2. Bears hire cheap coaches and then are shocked when they are mediocre.

The Bears like coaches that aren’t gonna be expensive and won’t be big personalities. McCaskeys still butthurt everyone loved Ditka.

  3. He’s a doofus, I’ve been saying this since day 1, can his ass let him be a Jewel manager he can coach middle school football on the weekends.

  4. Don’t know how the season will go, but today the team was not prepared as well as their opponents.

Penalties, bad play calling, slow to make adjustments… all coaching.

  5. He’s such a generic Bears coach. Defense! Effort! No results! Fuck, at least with Nagy they tried a new approach

  6. Same with Poles. He’s just another idiot next in line after Pace. Another lapdog for the McCrapskeys.

  7. No hurry up late in the third shows that are ok with loosing. A good staff would’ve at least tried to get as many reps as possible. Just sad

  8. I hate that I’m starting to loose faith in Flus. I know it’s only been one game but goddamn this was hard to watch

  9. Its over reacting to say that based on this one game (although it was an incredibly important game for this season) , but what has he shown in his 18 games here that say he is the guy? A lot of fans on this subreddit will ride a mile on “my team hired him”.

  10. Yep he needs to be fired mid week. You’re supposed to be a defensive HC and are letting a weak offensive team drop 40 on you week one. FIRE HIM NOW

  11. This game came down to coaching plain and simple. Eberflus did not have this team prepared. We played without discipline and with poor play calling. These players are not playing hard for their coach and you can see it. I’m in Colorado where every Saturday I’m seeing what a well coached team looks like in the Buffaloes, and watching this performance from the Bears just made it clear that the head coach is not it. The talent gap was not that wide between the Bears and Packers.

  12. Ik our personnel is bad, but fucking Christ do something to try to scheme around it. Our d line can’t get pressure, maybe we should try blitzing. The strength of our offense is clearly the wr room and yet we don’t fucking use them. Fuck we barely throw beyond the line of scrimmage

  13. Our GM shouldn’t be a GM, our head coach shouldn’t be a head coach and our QB has regressed since last season because our OC shouldn’t be an OC. Typical Bears season opener. I drank the kool aid this week and bought into the hype knowing that this was all true.

  14. Y’all ever seen that video of Brandon Marshall explaining how the bears are run like a mom and pop shop? Until that changes, nothing changes.

  15. The Packers won this game, when the Bears had their best chance in years, It’s clear the Packers are better than the Bears at something other than just on-the-field talent.

  16. He should be fired for this performance today but he won’t he will drag out the year and we will finish 7-10 and poles will say he deserves another year. And then we will go 7-10 next year too.

  17. He was the last guy I wanted to hire. He needs to go quick, I’m talking during this season if he doesn’t pick shit up, no more of the owners giving garbage coaches too many chances.

  18. For me it’s Cover 2. I’m so sick of crossing routes absolutely torching Cover 2. No imagination at all. Even the most basic offense can beat Cover 2. Why the heck did the Bears go back to a crap system that doesn’t work in the modern NFL?

  19. We gave these guys a whole year worth of runway — no judgments — do what you gotta do to get right. BUT GET RIGHT.

They didn’t get right. Fire Matt Eberflus. Then don’t hire another Matt again ever.

  20. I can’t think of 1 competitive team that would have given up so easily. Yes we were down big, but there was plenty of time. Instead we run and check down and throw screens.

The team had completely given up half way through the 3rd quarter. That is COACHING.

Last year Kirk Cousins came back from like 30 points down. Chiefs, Packers with Rogers, Bills, Bengals, Brady’s Patriots. All the competitive teams still think they can win when down like that.

The Bears did not. They had 1 1/2 quarters and they gave up. Even Flus looked lost and defeated. That is not a good sign.

  21. I have not believed in this coach ONCE since he was hired.

Poles (Ted Phillips) might’ve really fucked this whole thing up deciding to hire this bum

  22. They should, unironically, fire him tomorrow. There is no conceivable way this coaching staff turns it around—certainly not this year, and probably not in the future either.

  23. I liked the Eberflus hire at the time. Not Poles. Also though Pederson would be great here for the same reason. Old school and accountability. That being said I think Eberflus reminds me of Nagy where he doesn’t have the connections to put together a quality coaching staff. Nagy hiring his XFL receiver to be a receiving coach is like Flus hiring Alan Williams

  24. Classic Bears. You can always trust them to make the worst decision possible even when it’s almost statistically impossible. Honestly impressive.
