Thank you once again u/miacannons for your post! Look for them every Monday.
Doing the lords work!
Good to see Jevon up top again, was worried he was regressing last season.
If Jackson was at the bottom, our offense had a pretty good day considering his overall performance.
Austin Jackson did not look as bad as this pff grade says
Interesting, I would have expected AJ to have graded out higher in pass blocking since no sacks were allowed but there must have been something else I’m not considering.
Was just looking at stats and realized that Tua spread the ball around to 8 total different pass-catchers during the game AND Tyreek had 11 for 215… that’s just insane.
Baker & Long 🤢
Quick hot takes
* Tyreek/Tua/Waddle are the Top 3? Duh
* Lamm’s grade is good, AJ being LAST? Really? I think that seems extreme but I didn’t breakdown every play to see how much Tua’s great pocket presence made up for things
* Overall, not a truly “bad” grade for the offense makes sense, kinda surprised Williams kept a 70.7 despite the rough snaps
* Unsurprisingly, Baker/Long Jr. with awful grades. Go look at how they got ate up on Ekeler’s longest rush of his career
* X was… yea… 3 flags against him. You hope he does better going forward
* Shoutout to Phillips. he forced herbert into rushed throws even before final drive ate him up
Not great for Long. I thought he was pretty good in the preseason and have high hopes for him. Obviously it’s just one game but he’ll need to be better for sure.
Chubb looking like a bad trade
Lol at JC Jackson getting a 45 grade on a day where he got an interception. Dude is dumber than a bag of hammers.
Masterclass from Tua and Hill. I wouldn’t be mad to see Cracraft cement himself as WR3 by the end of the year. He’s just solid.
Really happy to see Holland grade so high. He was all over the place yesterday and was the one consistent bright spot I was seeing. Phillips was always getting close but couldn’t wrap up until the end.
A bit concerned about Bradley Chubb though. He’s been a liability in run defense and he hasn’t been effective in pass rushing situations. I’m hoping we didn’t get too trigger-happy giving him that contract.
Howard is so off this team next year. I understand why we have him right now but he’s long hit the wall.
I think they’re a little harsh on X due to the flags.
I think his coverage was actually very solid and his tackling was excellent (he did have a good tackle grade).
Kohou didn’t have his best game. 7/7 when targeted.
Tua with the second highest PFF grade of his career. Well deserved honestly. I thought it would end up being his highest grade.
Tyreek predictably and deservedly with a high grade.
Isaiah Wynn with no pressures allowed. What a start to the season by him. Patriots fans were telling us we better hope he doesn’t start too.
O-Line overall only allowed 10 pressures in 47 drop backs. Tua’s quick release of course helped them, but pressure on close to 20% of his dropbacks is a great job by the line.
Going by snap count it seems like Berrios is our clear WR3, but also guys like EZ E and Cracraft will continue to get a solid amount of snaps depending on what we want to do on offense.
Holland with a strong start to the year. Hoping he doesn’t have to play as much defense against the run so he can show what he can do vs the pass more, and get the recognition he deserves.
Kohou graded out pretty highly in all faucets of the game. Targeted 7 times and gave up 7 receptions, but only for 37 yards.
Phillips credited with 7 pressures. Didn’t seem like he pressured the QB THAT often, but a great start to the season.
Ogbah and Ogbah #2 both with a disappointing 0 pressure 0 sack effort. Really hope they bounce back next week because that effort ain’t going to get it done.
Eli Apple had a great debut only getting targeted 4 times and giving up just 21 yards.
David Long curiously only played 17 snaps. Perhaps he was playing as bad as the grade suggests so Fangio had seen enough? Ogbah also graded out terribly and saw only 18 snaps.
Thanks as always for posting these! Not all heroes wear capes.
Our highest paid defensive players all crowded at the bottom there lol
I think I’m more surprised by the lack of plays that Long was in more than his PFF grade.
Man Ogbah seems completely cooked 🙁
Rare low grade for Wilkins, to be expected due to the swiss cheese D Line
Guys, we might need to drop Hill after that run blocking grade
Kendall Lamm is 31 and undrafted out of App State
What a pleasant surprise
Kohou is a monster and very quickly becoming my favourite player. He’s not just a guy who’s been put in a good position. He’s dominant and consistent.
* Alec Ingold had issues with run blocking, isn’t that supposed to be a fullbacks strength?
* Ogbah is washed
* I heard a lot of compliments for Austin Jackson but he graded out poorly
Jerome Baker and David Long are exactly where I thought they’d be. Absolutely terrible.
