  3. I think it’s pretty safe to say they can’t afford long-term contracts with both Chase and Higgins at their expected market values. Therefore, the offer that was made here is likely low to his value on the open market, Makes perfect sense.

  4. Unfortunately unless his heart is set with stayin in cinci he’s prolly gone after getting the franchise tag. He’s gonna end up getting jamar chase money and we can’t afford to pay 2 Wr’s top dollar. Just enjoy the time he has left here in cinci.

  12. I’m done looking at Tee related contract threads. There is no way we can sign him with Mulugheta as his agent. Chase needs to be signed and we simply don’t have the money for top of the market contracts for our #2.

    I absolutely love Tee and wish it was possible but the cap exists for a reason. So teams can’t put together a super roster. The Rams blew it up and paid a ludicrous amount of money just for one championship and then immediately had to break it up.

    I will root for him on whatever team he goes to and becomes their number one receiver.

  14. Could easily be tagged next year, not sure what the hit on that round be. I would lean towards the Bengals doing that.

  15. If anybody thought this was going to go any other way, you were fooling yourself. His agent, who is known for getting his guys big, guaranteed money, just watched the Bengals give Burrow 219m. There’s no way he’s going to settle for anything less than what a top 5 WR can get because that is what Tee will get next year when they franchise him.

    People don’t like hearing it because Tee is understandably a fan favorite, but if the Bengals are smart, they will be working on trading Tee before he hits FA so that they get something more and better than a 3rd rnd comp pick.

  16. If Chase and Higgins become nigh unstoppable this year like we keep thinking they’ll be, I could see the Bengals paying both at the expense of other positions.

  17. I think everyone in Cincy will be thrilled when Tee gets the bag with some other team. Unless we have to spend the next two years hearing leaks from his agent about how awful of a team we are and we’re insulting the FO.

  18. I I hope tee doesn’t take it personally. No team can pay two guys WR1 money. It’s just not possible with a salary cap.
