Mets may have won it tonight for us.
This Marlins/Mets rain delay coming with the Marlins taking the lead in the 9th, being the last game of the season between the two clubs with no off days remaining, brings up the extremely rare possibility of applying OBR 7.02(b)(4)(A), with the score reverting to 1-0 Mets in 8. pic.twitter.com/srpjhkKYXc

No way! 🤞
Imagine that the rain is the reason we make the playoffs
I was stalking the Marlins’ thread and many were saying that there’s a new rule that supersedes this. Can anyone confirm? All I’ve been able to find is that 7.02(b)(4)(A) is still as pictured in the 2023 rules.
Like one paragraph later, specifically the very last clause:
“Rule 7.02(b) Comment: The Major Leagues have determined
that Rule 7.02(b) does not apply to any Wild Card, Division
Series, League Championship Series or World Series games or
for any additional Major League championship season game
played to break a tie.”
Since the Marlins could break a hypothetical tie, they would have to resume, I assume.
Right down to the wire
This game has already been scheduled to resume on 10/2.
The Marlins can eat a dick
I truly appreciate how all the funniest possible options are happening.
