  1. I like the premise of the article. I like the roster considering. I like that it’s full of dogs and dudes with chips on their shoulders. And yeah, I would just wait before swinging for the fences again, wait for the right opportunity to strike like Miklo in Blood In Blood Out. When the time is right, it’ll be good.

I like that there are several upside players and the team added coaches with good development backgrounds. So it tells us the team is prioritizing development. Hope to find a couple of diamonds in the rough.

  2. I would compare this to a more talented DLo squad that has a better foundation with an All-NBA player and potential All-Star.

Just as Dinwiddie mentioned though, this team goes only as far as Ben takes them.

  3. We are in the middle right now which I think is the worst place you can be in the NBA. We are unlikely to be higher than the 6th seed and as we don’t own our pick we can’t tank.

We have three 30 years olds who are the oldest players on the roster and two of them are on expiring deals.

The players that have the most potential have just turned 22 (Cam Thomas) or younger both Dariq Whitehead and Noah Clowney are 19 and are two of the three youngest taken in the first round.

Personally I wouldn’t extend Dinwiddie or Royce and I’d trade DFS and if we got first rounders then that would be amazing.

I’d be very happy if Cam J and Mikal become our oldest veterans going forward. They have excellent personalities and role models for what the franchise can be.

I think we have to move off Ben Simmons when there is an opportunity. I hope he has a great season and he returns to the form he had when he played for Philly. However, I would still trade him because in my mind he is never going to be the value of a max contract.

I’d trade the Philly top 7 protected 2027 pick and the Phoenix unprotected pick either for another young player or I would look to target a young player in the 2024 draft potentially using a few future firsts to get near the top. I trust Sean Marks in selecting players with great temperament and huge amounts of talent. He has an excellent track record of drafting talent after the 20th pick, imagine what he could do with a top 10 pick.

If 2024 draft is really as bad as people believe it will be ( I disagree, it won’t be terrible) then wait until the 2025 draft.

Use the max cap space in 2025, hopefully on BI.

Keep the picks owed to Brooklyn at the end of the decade for reloading in five years time.
