One of my favorite things about being a dodgers fan is that no matter when you look at pictures from, the team has always worn pretty much the exact same uniform. What’s your favorite thing about your franchise?

Umm… They play their home games fairly close to my house.
That’s all I got
One of my favorite things?
They aren’t the Dodgers. That’s a perk
Their hotdogs are pretty good.
Man. Those red numbers!!
Braves are the only team to win a WS in three cities – a lot of fans seem to downplay the team’s history before they moved to Atlanta for some reason, but I love it. Hank Aaron played the majority of his career in Milwaukee after all, and reading about their history in Boston is super interesting too.
That we never trade our homegrown stars…. Nope, never
We’ll always be those mother fuckers.
That the term “Lovable Losers” is a compliment
Navy Road Caps.
Atmosphere in Philly is unmatched. They’ve also got a great set of uniforms, and ‘08 was the first year of baseball where I watched a World Series all the way through.
For the Cardinals I actually like the different uniform eras and the evolution of the birds on the bat. Some real classics back in the 30s & 40s, and of course the awesome v-neck powder blues in the 80s.
That said, I also love the continuity of the Dodgers. Classic franchise with a classy look that never goes out of style.
I just really love the compass logo. I think it’s cool, classy, on theme, and very much unlike other teams logos.
It might be like this for most organizations and I’m just not as tuned in. But I love how Texas Ranger players who spent a majority of their playing time here, tend to be tied into the organization afterwards. Mark McLemore has co-hosted a post-game show for quite some time. David Murphy has done some occasional commentating. Tag was a long tenured commentator for us. Jose Guzman is our Spanish radio broadcaster.
Michael Young, Ian Kinsler, Colby Lewis, Darren Oliver, Nick Hundley and the great Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez all work in our front office. Chris Young is our current GM and now likely will be for a very long time to come. Beltre is still constantly around the team although I don’t recall him having an official role. There are likely others I’m forgetting too.
Summer sunsets and craft beer…….
They’ve actually won a championship for the state.
The most handsome Russell Martin
The Nike logo kills me though, that ruins it.
I love how everyone loves the mb ball-in-glove logo
Ball and glove is an all-time great sports logo
Helping introduce stadium mustard. I’m not even joking or making light of our lack of World Series, how old photos of legends feature a nickname and played for a team name that no longer exists, or that our logo – for decades – was an insensitive caricature.
Stadium mustard is just that fucking good and the most important contribution to the condiment game in the past century.
we may not be successful but enough dumb shit has happened in our history to get a cool SB Nation documentary! “The Seattle Mariners are not competitors, they are protagonists.”
The Phillies, for all their futility, have a lot of history, too. And there’s nothing better than October baseball in this city.
EDIT: forgot maybe my favorite part: the franchise just feels like a family. People that spend a season here and play hard even feel it, will come back for alumni weekend, and are showered in ovations. The Phillies have always taken care of their own (sometimes to our detriment in the front office lol).
I love that our name is kind of stupid. It’s the Boaty McBoatface of sports team names and I love that we were the ones to do it.
Gary, Keith and Ron. Oh and the pastrami
Wrigley being Wrigley. I love going to the stadium and knowing my dad, grandpa and great grandpa all looked out into (more or less) the same stadium.
When my parents moved out of my childhood home I was really sad. I think something about having a place of memory to return to is so special.
They just won the World Series.
Much like the dodgers, the Cardinals just seem engrained in the sport. Like, part of the old guard. Not saying we are better than any of the newer franchises or anything, but it’s crazy that the team has been within like 5 miles of where it currently plays since my grandfathers were kids.
It’s all I have left and it reminds me of them. They did that with their grandfathers in the 1920s is crazy to me. It’s 100% part of everything this city is, for better and worse. I wouldn’t change a thing.
