With Harper staying at first, it’s all but officially over for Rhys. Love ya forever, big guy. Forever a Phillie, and this will forever be imprinted in our minds.

  1. I still remember his bat spike, the first time I’d been to a playoff game, my dad brought me. Both young and old fans, I remember as soon as it left the bat, the roar that stadium let out was like nothing I’d felt before. My mouth hit the floor and I balled a little, I finally got the chance to let out a fucking scream in a baseball playoff game. Over half my life I waited for an opportunity to see baseball at the Bank.

  2. I lost my mom in a very similar way to Rhys. Made me root for him more. I hope he comes back after his playing career to coach or join the broadcast team. I will always love him!

  3. Dear Rhys,

I feel like I can call you Rhys because of my flair. You will always be one of us. I hope you have a great career and maybe come back after Schwarbs retires. But please never go to the Mets or Braves.

    Love,
    Us

  4. That looks to be the last game I’ll have gone to with my Dad. It’s something I’ll never forget. Thanks for everything Rhys!
