He was rated 8th best qb by his peers. And those guys know a hell of a lot more about football than you all. I thought we had the best fan base, but with the way we handle adversity y’all are toxic as hell and embarrassing. Does anyone actually appreciate any of the progress we have made in 3 years??? Feels like Wall Street billionaires, greedy as hell.

To be fair, these lists usually kinda suck, And the players vote for their buddies, definitely a worse data point that most stats lol
Dont even bother dude. Half these fans are trash and want to be miserable. They cant take a joke and are sensitive as hell lol.
Theres no real safe space for rational fans here 🤣
You thought Detroit has the best fan base??😂 we have the most moronic fans I’ve ever seen
And Sam Howell is the best?
TBF to the fans, they really only watch our team, maybe some highlights of the top performances. So they have no idea how bad things can really be for other teams QBs. They watch all these mobile QBs run all over us and light up our secondary, and think that’s normal.
So when they watch Goff not running around, plus having some fluky TOs on top of a couple bad ones, they think he’s the worst QB they’ve ever seen.
JG is very good, immobile, and streaky. It’s not unfair to imagine better.
Guys- the Lions are fun to watch and good enough to win games. Most of my life I have watched them be putrid on offense and wretched on defense. The fact that we have won 8 games at this point and we are trending upwards is not the Lions norm. Do I think we are superbowl contenders, not with that defense. We are young, we compete hard, and the culture of losing is being changed. I went from expecting to lose on Thanksgiving to actually expecting to win for the first time in many many years. That’s a positive. I’ll take the fact that we are a fun team to watch and that we can beat any team on any given Sunday and it’s not going to be a huge shock. That’s a far cry from the Lions of my lifetime. I’m grateful we are where we are and can be hopeful that we make the playoffs and maybe win some games. I remember 91, and hope this is the year we break that streak.
He’s gotta play better. He’s had two weeks of bad ball. Hopefully he can turn it over. But as currently constructed I don’t think we can win a superbowl
He’s earned the benefit of the doubt but if he keeps up the turnovers through December and struggles in the playoffs, idk, he’s not the guy and it’s fair to consider an upgrade.
This is just as bad of an overreaction as the overreactions. Toxicity goes both ways. Also, going with the “those guys know a hell of a lot more about football than you all” is always fucking stupid. A lot of athletes are dumb as fuck when it comes to their profession. Look at the NBA for a perfect example of that, and any player that decides to put out a list.
Sir this is a r/detroitlions
I’m ok with you saying Goff is fine, but using the players and saying they know more than the average fan is comical. The volatility of the nfl network top 100 players list from year to year should show that. Also there’s no way Goff is top 8.
He’s also only getting paid like the 16th best QB
He’s giving the Lions great value and sure he might not be Mahomes but the Lions have money elsewhere to compensate for the fact he isn’t Mahomes

I’m ready for Hendon Hooker next year, 2 years tops. All the respect for Goff he’s been more than we asked for, and will be good on another team. But Hooker is our future, he has more potential and can run outside the pocket
LMAO at anyone thinking we can’t criticize a team with glaring holes just because they are punching above their weight right now. Must have only started watching football in the last 12 months.
