Schultz: Chargers’ Brandon Staley Will Be Fired at End of Season ‘Barring a Miracle’

This is where the Chargers reel off a 6 game season ending winning streak, barely squeak into the playoffs with the last wildcard spot because 5-6 other AFC teams in the hunt all of a sudden forgot how to play football the rest of the season, go up 42-0 in the FIRST QUARTER with the help of 5 turnovers by (insert team) of their playoff game, but lose 45-42 on a last second FG by (insert team) and eliminated from the playoffs. Staley ends up keeping his job another year because of course, Spanos is going to “Spanos” as usual and the whole process repeats over again.

  1. Still think Spanos is too cheap and will let him ruin next year so he doesn’t have to pay two coaches

  2. Spanos might just keep him so he can lose games and get a better draft position for the future HC and GM, either way I’m not optimistic but excited for change

  3. Jordan Schultz is not a real reporter, he just says things that are pretty obviously most likely true and passes it as if he has “sources”

  4. I thought the same thing, but let’s be realistic

This team isn’t sniffing the playoffs.

    We’ll end with 6 wins

  5. If we keep Staley I’m not watching this team anymore. It’s negligence and I’m frankly tired of it. This team has a generational QB. Again. He and the fans deserve better

  6. The Spanos family are the slumlords of the NFL. Staley already lost the locker room and playoffs are off the table. Every game he coaches just lowers team/fan morale even more. Ownership doesn’t seem to care about either of those things though and just wants to penny pinch wherever they can.

  7. I’d love to see a playoff game but outside of the Pats and Raiders, the other teams are looking good. Even the donkeys. We just have to face it, we’re a shitty team this season. Hopefully they fire Staley and Telescope and we have a stellar 2024-25

  8. I’m not gonna believe Staley is gone until the official announcement from the team, and I’m not gonna get excited about any head coaching hire unless they’ve already proved something in the recent past, or prove something during their tenure.

  9. I like the way you think. However this feels more like “has some great pieces, l will finish like 8-9 right outside of the playoffs, and not get a high draft pick as a result” type of Chargers year
