  1. Ty Lue’s first game with Cleveland they lost by 13. Doc coached tonight but he hasn’t even had a practice with the team yet. I don’t know what the fuck Adrian Griffin did to this team but holy shit he fucked up this defence so hard.

Team dug themselves in way too big of a whole tonight. The entire 3rd quarter consisted of either missed shots or turnovers. Bucks lost themselves this game. Giannis was also asking for them to call FT violations with how long he was taking.

Bobby also sucked ass and took as many FGA as Dame. **Will never understand having Dame on the floor for him to not doing anything. Happens so often and is so frustrating. I’m so sick of Dame being passive. This is not why you’re here man. Stop acting like a role player.**

If the bench plays better we win this game but how many times are we gonna be saying that? Our bench is straight ass right now and they’re going to cost us more games if we don’t do something about it.

  2. Good fight on the road against the defending champs, not a bad first game for Doc

  3. No more of those drives to the hoop from Lillard where he goes at taller defenders, tosses an awful layup, and usually gets blocked. Wasted possessions night after night. You have a guy on the floor who can make those!

  4. The weird thing about Bobby is that he’s completely changed his play style this year. Under Bud he was usually within the flow of the offense and his energy usually made a difference regardless of his stat line.

This year he’s honestly only looking to “get his” on offense. Constant isos while looking off players the caliber of Giannis, Dame, and Khris. There’s even been a ton of times he’s attempted to start transition himself by pushing the ball. He’s never making the extra pass or frankly looking to pass at all. As a fan sitting at home watching, it’s coming across as a super selfish way to play.

Just a weird switch. I don’t know if Griffin/his staff presented a vision to him to play this way or if he just decided on his own he was taking a more involved approach this year. Very weird change because it has not looked good at all outside of the very few classic Bobby moments.

  5. First game with Doc went about how I thought it would, we played a tough game but still lost. Lots of positives to take away from this however.

  6. I know Doc is new but he’s been around long enough to know he should sub a player out when they’re 0-9 shooting

  7. Thank god this is over. If I had to listen to another second of these Denver casters, I may have had to pour hardening rubber cement into my ears.

  8. Good game against another great team!

The only thing I took away was the reminder that some of y’all just hate life and I hope y’all don’t have that energy in your day to day for the sake of the people around you lol.

That game thread was something 😂

  9. Overall, great effort especially on defense. Can’t be mad at losing to Denver on the road. However, the fourth quarter execution and some rotation stuff really concern me with doc and that stuff has followed him throughout his career. He is still way better than Grif tho.

  10. Denver is a good team and we played great defense. I’m super happy with what the defense is doing which just proves Griffin really was killing us on that end.

The offense was a mess of indecision, sloppiness, and passivity. I hope this is just doc trying to instill a hierarchy in the team, but dame doesn’t even look like the same person anymore. He was playing like he was Bledsoe or something.

  11. Moral victories are worth nothing but this wasn’t a bad loss. Our D didn’t allow 135 again. And if Portis or Beasley made just a few shots we could have stole this.

  12. Good loss imo.

Starting 5 looked elite as usual but it’s clearer and clearer every game that the bench is in dire need of a either clear and consistent scoring sixth man or someone who can create defensive stops.

Guys look motivated, playing with high energy and effort and just generally seem to be working better defensively – one of the few times this season I can remember seeing a team we play held to under 118-120. It’s a work in progress, but some good stuff already

  13. Definitely a lot of improvements and I think some things that went wrong (playing Pat and Bobby together constantly) were based on unfamiliarity on this team at least as an outside observer.

It’s a loss but I’m not too worried about it. Things are looking up.

  14. Frustrating not to beat Denver on a night where they barely shot above 20% from deep. Winnable game that they just didn’t capitalize on, but oh well.

Though Bobby should probably be investigated for point shaving.

  15. Every time Khris Middleton touches the ball , I just hope and pray he doesn’t lose it

  16. Forgot how good it feels to not give up 130+ points lol. Marques said it on the broadcast—there’s some good takeaways from this game we can build off of. Good first game in the Doc era IMO

  17. They didnt even give the ball to Dame at least for 4-5 mins at 4th quarter and yall still slandering him for not making that layup

  18. If Bobby can even net us a decent perimeter defender in shipping him off without thinking twice. He’s killed too many drives with his isos which result in a miss 70% of the time, and he constantly gets targeted and cooked on defense.

Reffing was also awful. With how much Nuggets fans act like they’re victims of the refs, Jokic or Jamal could just throw their hands up and get a whistle while Giannis got mauled.

Anyway, at least we kept it close with the reigning champs. I’d like to see Dame get some consistency so hopefully Doc can get him right.

  19. Lillard has to be better man. It’s already February and people are still acting like it’s his first week here.

Shooting 42% isn’t going to get it done. it just isn’t.

  20. A big portion of this fan base is gonna be pissed dame didn’t shoot a lot tonight but Denver’s game plan was clearly to face guard him on and off ball and take away his shot. This is why we have dame Giannis and khris, because teams will have to pick their poison. denver chose giannis because gordon is a great defender on him. regardless it opens up the game majorly for giannis (or vice versa) and is why we got dame this summer. this is a good thing but denver is the defending champion for a reason and we fought hard

  21. I’d rather have January losses because the offense failed rather than the abysmal defense costing us games like it has been. Just can’t get completely nothing out of Dame and Khris in the second half against good teams.

  22. Played a good game defensively, but obviously need some some tweaks

Definitely think we’d beat them in a 7 game series

Bobby was a massive problem, but in a series he’d be benched anyway

  23. I’m confused why it seems like all of Dame’s shots are so difficult. You would assume that he would only get more efficient like Giannis has but its been a one way effect so far.

  24. Seriously though, with Jamal cooking us why doesn’t AJax see the floor at all???

  25. Same complaints as always. Not even that upset at the loss; Denver is VERY hard to out execute especially when trailing in the 4th quarter. If the offense doesn’t come to a complete stop at the end of the first I have the upmost confidence we win this game by at least 4 points. Very aggravating self inflicted wounds with those turnovers to start the 4th smh good game overall ig

  26. Dame has not been as advertised this season bad shooting nights have become the norm so disappointing and frustrating

  27. I’m annoyed that Khris came out looking like prime Jordan and then hits the bench for probably too long and doesn’t do shit the rest of the game.

  28. With the way he’s playing right now, Bobby should not be playing more than 20 mins a night.

  29. Bobby and Pat are both clear negative impact players who are completely living off past performance and connections on the team and to the fanbase (more so in the case of Bobby). If we’re serious about trying to win a title this season, they HAVE to be traded.

Pat is cooked physically, can’t stay in front of anyone, and doesn’t provide the hustle plays he used to. Bobby is one of the most selfish offensive players in the league and is atrocious defensively.

Horst HAS to see what he can get for them, attaching the few 2nds we have + possibly MarJon.

  30. I legit am looking for someone to tell me how Griffin managed to decimate the defense that much. We have looked pretty solid since he left.

It makes zero sense. Night and day difference.

  31. Jokic and Murray had 25 and 22 FGA, respectively. Giannis and Dame had 19 and 13. We definitely need more shots for them

  32. Hijacking this thread to say **thank you to the mods** for volunteering your time and energy to keeping this sub so engaging.

The pre-game and post-game threads are always on time, and the discourse here is as quality as any sub. Luv y’all!

  33. IDK how many times I have to say this but.. you can’t put another small bad defender next to Dame you just can’t…

Bobby, Pat, and Beasley are absolutely horrible on defense and are killing this team.. on the positive side we actually have a real coach again so that’s nice.

If Horst can somehow trade for a starting defensive 2 and we actually play Beauchamp & Jackson I think we are alright. Doc did so many positive small things just in his first game that actually had me clapping with excitement.

  34. The reason Middleton is handling the ball more than he should is because Dame straight up isn’t playing with any fire and seems to not have a care in the world about doing what we traded him for, which is being our elite offensive lead guard. If Dame played with the fire of Giannis and took command of the offense, everything else would settle into place, including Middleton.

Like you’re a top 75 player of all time, get your shit together and lead the offense. You’re getting paid 60 mil a year and starting the ASG, do your job.

  35. As someone else mentioned, I don’t know who got into Bobby’s ear this year

Dude is playing as selfish as ever— especially those rebounds where takes the ball up the floor & wastes about 10 seconds

Streaky shooter, doesn’t pass ever, funnel vision anywhere near the basket, terrible on defense

If there was one smart adjustment Bud always made, it’s benching Bobby in the playoffs

Crazy part is— there are members of the casual Bucks fanbase who thinks he’s better than Khris & Brook

  36. Why are there so many nuggets fan in here? Never expected them to have a fan base like that

  37. Not a terrible loss all things considered. If one of Dame, Bobby, Beasley, or Khris play better, this is a win. Good defense overall to hold the a very good team to 113. There are still some details to work out, such as the pecking order on offense, but I think that’s fixable.

Side note. Idk how the fuck Oppenheimer can just look at Giannis’ FT routine and say its okay. It’s been several years now of 10-sec violations and with how frequently he gets to the line, these are potential points being waved off. It’s bad enough that he isn’t a great FT shooter. Shaq was a brick from the line as well, but at least he was able to get the ball out of his hands

  38. Pick and roll defense was so hard to watch. I think that was a bigger for the loss than anything, including 8 turnovers between Middleton and Dame. Dame was forcing one too many drives on the basket. But Beasley got handled on PnRs like clockwork. Interesting to watch live.

  39. A lot to be happy about! But we need to gut the entire bench man even if we run like a 7 man unit in the playoffs this is not it lmao
