Nick Underhill – “The Saints are parting ways with offensive line coach Doug Marrone, per source”

  1. I know someone lost a job but I’m so happy. The O line never struggled that much before he came back. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

  2. This is one of those situations where I fully understand I have no idea how to judge the performance of a positional coach but holy shit the O-line was painful to watch this year.

  3. Can only be good for Trevor Penning. Wish we would have already made this move though.

  4. If there’s a silver lining to all of this house cleaning it’s that if we have another shitty year next season, Loomis and Allen will have no one left to blame but themselves.

  5. Where is Nola Dutch!? He’s tried to convince everyone Marrone is still a great o line coach

  6. Ngl I had no idea Doug Marrone was even on the team. Last I heard of him was on the jags

  7. Wow this guy has fallen so far. From one missed ref call away from the Super Bowl all the way to fired as a position group coach

  8. There’s has been some talk that James Cregg (assistant OL coach in San Fran and former LSU OL coach) could come with Kubiak

  9. It would be tough bringing in a new OC, new system and then tell the position coaches to keep doing what they’re doing.

  10. Nice. Let kubes bring in his own guys. Don’t need a crotchety old man in there undermining.
