There were no PWHL games between the 4th and 14th (see below if you’re curious why), so I didn’t make a graphic last week.
**Some additional notes:**
– Regulation Wins/OT Wins/OT Losses/Reg. Losses are 3/2/1/0 points.
– There are 24 games in the PWHL regular season. The top 4 teams will go to a two-round playoff bracket (best-of-five series).
– BOTH “straight” and “smooth” line charts are available in the single post this week. I truly believe the “smooth” chart is more legible (and just as meaningful) but that’s a different conversation 🙂
– If you have any suggestions to improve these I’m all ears 🙂
**What the players were up to during the break:**
The IIHF schedules “International Breaks” so they can schedule games between national teams at predictable dates (for national leagues to schedule around). [Here’s a link](https://stats.iihf.com/Hydra/IIHF_Calendar_of_Events.pdf), the next few are listed (as of today) on Page 4/5.

This international break (Feb 5-11), the Canadian and American national teams played friendlies against each other 3 times, for Games 5-7 of the [2023-24 Rivalry Series](https://www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/team-canada/women/national/2023-24/rivalry-series/stats/schedule) (a best-of-7).
Canada won all 3 games to complete the reverse sweep. You can find [highlights](https://www.youtube.com/@HockeyCanada/videos) on the Hockey Canada Youtube channel.
That’s nice, Ottawa womens and mens teams on the same trajectory
Montreal ahead of Toronto, Boston and Ottawa? I’ll take it.
wow, big climb by Toronto
Toronto ping-ponging off the bottom.
