100%. If not offensive foul, then has to be a flagrant. The fucking Heat are manipulating this so bad and injuring players
It’s a shame he hasn’t yet gotten squished by a large fella trying this shit.
I’m not totally familiar with the controversy, but I remember hearing the league might examine these plays and the rules surrounding them.
What’s the issue? What’s going on exactly? They’re trying to get in front of a player with momentum, racing to get their feet set? And this leads to injury?
I would love to see Giannis purposefully destroy one guy trying to take a charge at the beginning of a game to make them think twice about doing it the rest of the game
the heat have to hurt your players to win. i guess thats their culture
Controversial opinion here, but it’s a basketball play. They are trying to draw charges and since being caught in the restricted zone is an automatic foul, they try to get position by moving when the offensive player tries to avoid the charge. Teams make this play every single game, but it doesn’t usually result in an injury. In the heat of a game (pun unintended), I’m sure heat players, or any team’s players for that matter, aren’t seeking this out as an opportunity to injure a player.
What could Kevin Love possibly gain from injuring the starting center for a .200 team in the West?
Block culture at it again 🤡🤡🤡
So you want to stop trying to take a charge from basketball? Are we really that soft now?
Giannis needs to jus 1 day straight up body a heat player. Take their culture and all. Dirty mfs.
I was pretty pissed when Love undercut Giannis causing him injury. I get that its a close call between a charge and a blocking foul but even then its just a basket…its not worth a potential injury that could end a players season to attempt to get an aggressive charge call. I would argue that a shoulder to the leg area of a player who is obviously vulnerable should be examined as not only a flagrant foul but also a potential fine. Kevin Love is notorious for getting offense fouls against opponents which is fine but going out of your way to exploit a rule to cause injury is poor sportsmanship and needs to be addressed by the league. I would recommend a case by case study and involve direct communication to the players who engage in these types of plays and go from there. I feel like an owners meeting this off-season with the health of the players in mind should at least suggest a rule change for the league to look at.
Is there a video of the Ayton injury?
I don’t think the Giannis injury was anything intentional, he committed, took the contact, and didn’t further try to disrupt the landing that I could tell.
The randle one made me laugh so hard

Hes 6’10. Go vertical and challenge the shot. The weak side charge needs to go. The game us too athletic to keep an old rule.

But then how will the Heat win?
