1. Liked this from the get-go, but I love Hortiz taking affordable flyers. 2nd round pick, very strong pre-draft profile. If Minter can make him even league-average that’s an upgrade over what we have.

   It’s a win-win. He sucks, he’s out after a year. He balls, we either re-sign or get a comp. Solid move.

5. High risk, high reward but low stakes move by Hortiz. Young guy too so he can learn a lot from Derwin, Gilman, and that secondary in addition to what Minter has in store.

7. Remember folks our system will make players better. I know people see player PFF stats and think this guy or that guy sucks but a good system will elevate all the players. Look at JC Jackson, before he got injured, in BB’s system vs Staley’s abomination of a defense, it was like night and day.

10. As an LSU fan, I love this guy for how well he played on the 2019 GOAT team. Hope he can turn his career around in LA!
