Trey Benson he’s going to be a fantasy league winner during the second half I I know you’re with me on this one I have as my rb24 really hard guy to rank because you know I mean he might be worthless the first month he he then he’ll become a top five back when Connor’s on the IR so it’s uh if Connor does suffer an injury and he you know a serious season Ender here we’re talking about a possible League winner though Connor’s 29 years old coming off the second highest workload of his career he’s average four Miss games over the last five seasons Connor has never played a full season or Eclipse 250 carries during any of his seven years in the league meanwhile Benson’s Mi he forced the most missed tackles per touch in 2022 it was the mo the mo best season ever since the stat was recorded um he joins an Arizona offense it was top 10 unit and all the you know the nerd stats EPA per Play Over the second half of last season before adding Marvin Harrison Jr uh Cardinals run game’s quietly good fourth best EPA per Rush last season I mean this is a good situation for a running back uh Benson has nice power speed receiving ability um yeah he’ll be he’ll be a top 10 fantasy back any week if he’s the guy there and Connor is out and this is a you know an injury-prone aging back in Connor so uh where did you settle on on ranking him since you know It’s Tricky when it comes to that I have Benson as my rb24 right now but I could see you know wide wide range of rankings when it comes to him it is tricky he is kind of a difficult guy to rank I’m with you there um it’s I think I settled with ranking him pretty aggressively though I have him at running back 20 um love it even more than me even more than even more than the take Meister himself Dalton ddon no like and and here’s the thing with Trey Benson yeah difficult guy to rank projections wise he’s not going to ever come out to running back 20 but it’s just such an easy story to tell yourself which is why it’s probably not going to happen but it’s such an easy story to tell yourself where like I don’t think he’ll even be worthless the first month of the season I love these picks where I think any single week he’s gonna have like Standalone value for you because he’s gonna play to some degree I don’t think he’s just gonna be a bench player he might be in the what the heck what the heck Flex territory but maybe not like a clear-cut starting running back two or run even really a running back three but like a guy that ah shoot you know it’s week four and two of my running backs are already hurt like I guess I can start Trey Benson and just hope he rips off a couple of big plays I think he’s goingon to be in that tier that’s how he starts the season and then yeah James Conor gets injured or just like more and more like we get after Trey Benson’s bye and he’s just ready to sort of take off and take the job from James Conor this is an offense that I think is ascending it’s just such an easy story to tell yourself and like they’re that truly League winning potential like you said or at least like top five top 10 fantasy back in his range of outcomes is there and like the other guys that he goes around and drafts like that’s just not AA I love you Austin Eckler but like that’s not available for Austin Eckler like that’s not available for javante Williams um maybe zir white I don’t know but like DeAndre Swift and Tony T Pard like no way that’s not available for those guys just because of a lot of different circumstances so to me yeah I think Trey Benson just the type of profile that you want to be aggressive on yeah put differently uh Connor is going to be drafted earlier I have them basically ranked back toback it feels like Connor will help you the first half and Benson could help you the second half but um yeah I think uh the situation there is is a nice one to land in in Arizona behind you know an aging running back with a with an injury history
