3 MASSIVE Changes To The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs
the biggest frauds of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs have officially been knocked out we have a massive goal tending change in arguably one of the biggest series of this franchise’s history and one of the top goal scorers from round one is no longer available for the rest of the postseason welcome back to the channel the Stanley Cup Playoffs have been insane this year and this week we have a lot to talk about so I’m going to give you guys some of the biggest stories from this week in the playoffs to keep you guys updated on what’s going on in the NHL so let’s start with arguably the biggest story of the week and that’s the Carolina Hurricanes being knocked out of the playoffs very early by the New York Rangers and I think we need the first start by giving the New York Rangers some props this team was labeled as frauds all year long and they came out in this series and not only took control of it early on but came out in that final game with a massive comeback from one of the franchise’s greatest players but the story really isn’t about the New York Rangers it’s sort of about the Carolina Hurricanes and what the future is going to look like for this team team let me just start by talking about some of the ufas that they’re going to have to look into this July we not only have Jake gensel Tavo terrain Jordan martinook Stefon NOS Brett pesi Brady Shay and jayen Chatfield along with Anthony D’Angelo all of these guys need to be looked at with their contracts and potentially resigned for the canes moving forward and it seems like the only player that theyve really showed interest in resigning is Jake gentel and the rest they’re kind of undecided on and I think that that’s a good thing for a team like this because you went into this playoffs with almost like a super team and a lot of these players didn’t show up now Jake gensel he was fantastic AO brilliant but guys like Tavo terrain they almost feel like they’re shells of themselves from what we used to consider them to be in Carolina and I think the biggest knock on this team that people should be paying more attention to it’s not the coach it’s not their offense but more the back end and they’re goaltending and I don’t know if it’s necessarily the fault of the goalies if I’m being honest now I know we all that Anderson was brilliant at the end of the regular season but when it comes to the postseason he’s never really been that guy that will get you the extra save and seal you playoff series and I feel like when the canes went into this one they should have had a backup plan because boy did he put up a bunch of stinkers and that game last night it probably could have been even worse for them had that one other goal that squeaked through his five hole actually gone in but martinook saved him yet again so for me I feel like the question marks for this team moving forward is that you seriously need to address the goal tending position and if that’s with kov that’s fine but you need to give him full re of the net and I know it was just his rookie season and that Anderson probably deserved it more but regardless it just feels like the inconsistencies with their goalie has really been their Achilles heal I also feel like they really need to address their defense unit as well because they always go into the playoffs and people are like yeah this defensive system it’s brilliant they’re great and they’re going to be the most lock down Decor of the playoffs but then anytime they play a good team it’s almost like they just get beat up and bounced off the puck and and just look at last night for example you couldn’t stop Cryder on one of those goals because that’s kind of your job you need to get one of those not to go into the net so for me I don’t think that the big turnover should be with the coach I think that maybe they just need to move around some of the roster pieces get yourself a goalie Reign Jake gel maybe move around some of the offensive pieces to build some more chemistry bunch of bright spots there Seth Jarvis has looked amazing again AO and gel they looked like they clicked pretty well too which is a great sign for Carolina so yeah it’ll be interesting I don’t think that they’re going to fire brind deore I think it would be crazy if they did because I just think he’s a great coach and gets the most out of those players but yeah tough ending to the season for Carolina lots of question marks lots of players that they have to resign so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see over the summer what they decide to do Second Story of the week one of the top goal scorers from round one is officially out for the rest of the postseason and some of next season it might seem like as well in Valerie nushin of the Colorado Avalanche now I’m not going to get into the offi stuff which is the reason why he’s no longer available to play I really want to talk more about why this is going to impact the Colorado Avalanche moving forward and if this is going to be enough for them to get knocked out by the stars in this series now I know they just won game five without him and I think that that was a gutsy Victory but that Dallas team they’re just way too deep for Colorado to be missing any players and I feel like one of the top goal scorers not only on your team but of the Playoffs being out of your lineup it’s going to be a big blow to this team now do I think that Colorado can still win it sure I feel like they have the type of players who can step up like Nathan McKinnon and kale marar but I think that this is just another unfortunate bump in the road for Colorado you made some big swings at the trade deadline to try to get yourself back in contention and you are met now with a second round Dallas Stars team that is just way deeper and even with nushin I don’t think anybody had the ABS winning but without him it’s starting to feel like this isn’t going to go to seven it’s going to end in six but tough blow for the Avalanche I know it’s not their fault and I’m hoping the best for nushin I think we all just want him to be happy and healthy and playing the game that he loves so best love luck to him hopefully he can figure out whatever’s going on off the ice and be back on the ice for the avalanch soon moving on to our final story it’s an interesting golender on one end we have atur salav the Third String Goalie that is keeping the Vancouver Canucks alive in their playoff run whereas the other side a starting goalie in Stewart Skinner who was very consistent for the Oilers for most of the season has officially been benched due to his poor playoff numbers now in place of Skinner the Oilers have decided to start backup goalie Calvin beard so now they have two goalies in Skinner and Campbell who were the starters at the beginning of the year and now they’re both benched tough break for the Edmonton Oilers I mean peard looked great in game four but in game five you could start to see that the Vancouver Canucks they’re going to take advantage of this because the story of salvs is not the same for Picard salav is a younger guy he’s having something to prove and there’s just so much momentum in his favor whereas peard he’s a journeyman he’s been in the league for a while and I think he only averaged around a 909 save percentage throughout the season so I thought it was going to be enough to spark this Oilers team and it looked like it did in game four but in game five it’s starting to seem like this isn’t going to save the Oilers and that the Canucks may just pull this off either way I think we all can agree that some of these stories are just amazing and feel good like seeing salvs come up and just take control of the net as well as peard a journeyman get his opportunity in his first playoff series it’s just amazing to watch and it’s what makes hockey so special for the Oilers I think it was the smart move to bench Skinner and for the Canucks there’s a bit of a goal tending drama occurring because if thater Demco comes back and he’s feeling healthy do you start him over salav since salav has been so hot I guess we’ll have to wait and see but I think I have the conu and s in this one just based on the goal tending skill alone let me know what you guys think about all of this what should the Carolina Hurricanes do moving forward how do you feel about the nushin incident and what do you think about the goal tending drama that’s happening over in that Vancouver verse Edmonton series drop your thoughts in the comments and make sure you like this video And subscribe to i know you dont mean it but like how you say Arturs Silovs name just sounds so very wrong lol
What’s the biggest thing for the Carolina Hurricanes to address this NHL Offseason🤔
Finnaly you believe in the canucks now
Frauds? LOL. What a moronic assumption….
Canes play diamond on the kill and NY was able to get cross ice passes early in the series.
Why…… Why is it never about how well the Rangers did, but always about how the other team was so bad/didn't show up?
rangers biggest frauds going in? huh elite goaltending, elite pk, elite pp, elite depth. idk who was calling them that
Rangers fan here…. so Hurricanes obviously will try to lock up Jake Guentzel… other guys that deserve a hard look (both UFA & RFA):
D Brady Skjei
C Martin Necas
RW Seth Jarvis
C Jack Drury
Those were guys that I considered a real pain in the ass in their series vs Rangers. Prob wont be able to get them all and Guentzel but those should be the 4 they focus on
She-Lovs
My bracket challenge remains in play for once. Only series I've gotten wrong was the Jets/Avs series. Luckily I had the Stars over Knights and than Stars going to the WCF so it worked itself out. Have the Canucks in 6 as well so I need them to shut the door tonight. Stars vs. Rangers for the Finals. Rangers hoisting the Cup!
Ooh that pronunciation on Silovs was rough ngl.😁
Nichushkin getting suspended for 6 months was the nail for the Avs, even if they got past the Stars he was a big part of their offense.
Players moving to other teams is part of the league. Favorite players are traded away and you ask why. I think all players should wear full face guards to stop high stick and puck injuries. But they have this code of honor, leaving the mouth piece out.
Wow. Your whole rant was about rhe Canes! They lost!! LOST!! If they were that good they would of beat the "fraud" NYR. Imagine if NYR gets rhe Cup…will u devote your entire rant on how rhe other 31 teams need ro ramp up? Maybe rhe refs are corrupt? Maybe change rhe rules so that the Rangers never win another game?
Ur a two bit hack. An embarrassment as a hockey fan.
