Blue Jays vs Tigers Game 50 (Back to reality…) (May 24th, 2024)

this is why I came on yesterday and got super excited about a 9-1 win but kind of had to pump the brakes because I’m like I can’t get too excited because overall this offense just is not great and they showed us why today through five innings they’re down six nothing to the Detroit Tigers Alec Manoa was not great and unfor very unfortunate the command eluded him I mean for God’s sakes he hit guy hit Colt Keith with a Bas is loaded to score a run it’s ugly you know allowed two homers in the game that Al Manoa did a walk a couple as well five hits six runs four were earned was great wasn’t great but regardless of what Alec monoa did Matt man no sorry I thought it be Matt man K to freaking Mi comes off the I and is all of a sudden great five innings of four hit ball that’s it nothing curtains you you go down one nothing in the second Cole Keith is his first his big league Homer first big league Homer congrats him for that and then in the bottom of the fourth the wheels fall off right Matt verling gets a sacrific fly then Kevin km makes the error and hun Riley green comes in to score make it two nothing then the hit by pitch the base is loaded and then an RBI ground out scores another run and there’s three more just like that and the problem with that is none of them were hits right sure they had guys on B base but a sack fly a ground out and hit by pitch scored three runs that’s painful and then the bottom of the fifth in carry carry Carpenter had a two-run shot uh to basically call it curtain on the game if it wasn’t already you’re down 6 nothing but regardless of that your offense did nothing and people going to say well they out hit them 107 right guess what I believe four of those hits four of those hit almost half of those hits and both of your runs happened the ninth inning when you’re down 6 nothing meaningless sure they had a little bit of a the the rally thing going against Andrew schaen as David Schneider it’s an RBI single scoring Ernie Clement and Kirk it’s an RBI single scoring ikf Whatever by the way before we go any further blue J fans I will be at K Park tomorrow and Sunday watching the Jays play with a couple of guys so excited to go never been to cerica so I’m I’m very intrigued to see what it’s all about but also hit that hit that no follow hit that subscribe button on the page if you haven’t done so already I well I mean he’s inting 288 with a 382 on base and an Ops up near up your 800 really can’t be complaining about that bashet turned things around but other than those four hits today you really got nothing else I mean Cavin beio what the hell’s this guy do now like this is the problem what I’m I’m finding what is Cav beio doing that a guy like aralis Martinez can’t and I get it’s cin it’s the core and blah blah he was 0 for three there with two strikeouts he’s in a buck 96 j’s got a 322 on base in an Ops of oh I don’t know under 600 after play today now he doesn’t play a whole lot which sucks but when you’re not playing well and how many times have we seen Kevin take like a $93 M hour fastball right down the middle it’s a painful painful watch and continues to be that it sucks now pitching wise again Mano was not great four and two3 five hits six runs four were earned uh walked to and gave up two bombs it’s not great Nate P the bullpen did a good job though Nate Pearson went in in third out one hit a walk couple strikeouts with no runs and assis Cabrera finally clean inning no base runners Eric Swanson clean inning but hit and a walk but nothing more that’s it though vady and Bo had multiple hit games good on them and your Bullpen was fine that’s all I got for you today now tomorrow as I’ve mentioned I’ll be in Detroit so those videos will be uploaded Ved in Detroit but the 110 first pitch at cica Park Jose BOS versus ree Olsen is the matchup there in game two or sorry game three of the four game set there and the finale is US Kikuchi versus Casey M at 11:35 in the freaking morning weird the blue J fans I’m at the point where I am trying to enjoy the game day by day I don’t have the expectations going into games I have the hope but no expectations and I hope that were going to win today especially with Ken toay going and not Matt Manning yeah and Al been great over his last two starts you’d like to see that good thing happen it didn’t go well at all and your offense stunk but shocker I mean when you’re an offense that’s no good runs per game this season the Blue Jays are 24th in baseball and it’s because they’ve scored nine runs the last what three the last four games going into to play today they’re not good and it’s just what they are and that’s the unfortunate part about this whole thing right back to four games under the 500 Market 23 and 27 I mean even after the the what the four in their last they’re five and five in their last 10 it’s still not great but but you still have a chance to win this series and I would love every second of it because I’ll be at both games they can find a way to win both I’ll be ecstatic because I’m there and also because they win the series okay fellas these are the guys I’m going with settle down I’ll get on the call in the minute jeez perfect timing done like twice in the last like three days anyways so those videos will be uploaded in Detroit probably at the hotel and whatnot so I’m just letting you Well after the offence scores 18 runs in 2 games…they go back to their old ways as drop this one 6-2 to the Detroit Tigers and score both runs in the 9th inning! Game 3 goes tomorrow afternoon as Jose Berrios gets the ball, looking to get this team back on track!!

  2. Man, if I’m being honest, this is the first time in 5 years that the Jays have sucked. That was their rebuilding phase. But now, they’re like every team. Look at the Astros and the success they’ve had for almost a decade. And they’re struggling so far. It’s not even halfway through the season. If they go on a torrid losing streak, then there is probable cause for concern. But I will say, the front office and manager needs an overhaul or a fire sale of firing everyone

  4. They did great when the power was out and they didn't have access to ipads yesterday. Perhaps there's too much analytics and too much overthinking. Instead of Guillermo Martinez handing Jays hitters ipads after each at bat, perhaps they'd do better with someone like Jesse Barfield talking with the hitters and drawing on his experience and insight to recommend adjustments to make during the game.

  5. What did expect from the jays, when you need them to win they lose and when you need them lose they win, you need them lose to make changes to improve the team but then they win a couple of games score more than 3 runs and it starts all over 😒😒

Charlie Montoyo went through 1 to 2 bad streaks and gets fired It feels like John Schneiders team it feels like he has had i long bad streak ever since he started managing The reason I think he is still managing the jays is ross atkins feels guilty he gave away the life of the team Teoscar & Guriel Jr And did not sign Marcus Semien So basically got rid of the meat of the order. Ross Atkins has handicapped John Schneider or Given Schneider a bad poker hand. What the fuck is Eddie Rogers doing does not he see Atkins and Shapiro have fucked up his team. So what Shapiro gave him good ideas how to build 3 stadiums in dunedin buffalo toronto to make more money .People have to stop going to games to wake eddie rogers up and fire atkins and shapiro and schneider but I doubt that will happen

  16. is there any way fan's can get attention of ownership without trading every good player they have, maybe wright letter's. sign a petition. new hitting staff can go a very long way but theyre also not miracle worker's because some players on this team offensively are hopeless, biggio, springer,turner, kk and much more

  19. Maeda is a crafty pitcher who counts on change of speed, spin rate, movement and location to be successful. The Jays struggle against those type of pitchers the last couple of seasons. This was the type of game they had to be sharp on the defensive side of the game and that wasn't the case today. It is what it is and hopefully they rebound the next game.

  21. This is why this 2024 Blue Jays team will "not", I repeat not, make the post-season this year. Win the division? Ha! That is a fantasy, Jays' fans. They currently sit 11&1/2 games behind the Bronx Bombers, who are killing eveybody these days. The Wild Card? They are only 4 games behind, but there are a boatload of teams in the mix. And the two leaders in this race, Baltimore and K.C. are way better teams than the Jays, in several categories. So, sadly, Blue Jays fans, we haven't even reached the end of May, and our team's season looks like it is already over.

  24. batting coach? His record speaks for itself. From one of the most potent offence with 28-5 against Red Socks and All-Stars still in memory to an inconsistent, impotent hitting team. Just unbearable to watch.
