New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge & Kansas City Royals’ Bobby Witt Jr. headline Ben’s Team of the Week

it is time for our team of the week we’re going to get started behind the plate with JT riut yeah quite the quite the week for JT continues to speaking of the underrated player list we were throwing out JT is probably on that list as well hit 412 this week two homers four RBI an Ops of 1.29 so JT real Muto is behind the plate for me all right moving to first base who we just talking about his teammate Bryce Harper 429 with three homers and eight RBIs and an Ops just under 1500 an he’s out there prom is it pral is that what people call it I don’t like that it’s like a proposal but it’s a prom proposal get I just don’t like it well I’m just going to keep explaining it to you I get it though a prom posal I don’t like it I get it moving on Ry Harper my first baseman on team of the week all right let’s move to second base Michael Massie yeah unfortunately got hurt in Friday’s game didn’t play over the weekend but uh the stats he put up were more than good enough to be on here 462 with two homers five RBI slugged a thousand and had an Ops of, 1500 on the dot Michael Massie unbelievable week uh for the Royals so he’s my second baseman all right over to Third Base Luis rifo yeah this guy’s been raking for you know not a lot of talk of of the Angels this year uh especially trout out right now for for an extended period of time um just not a lot going on great there in Anaheim but Luis Reno Reno has been really good 417 two homers five RBI 1. 295 Ops on the week so he’s my third baseman I’m a big fan of Luis rifo he hustles he puts in the work so I’m really happy and I’m proud to see him here all right moving over to Short Stop The Young Superstar we were just talking about Bobby wit Jr big hit wit n did you just do that I just did it I don’t know if I like that either 417 before you speak three homers 12 RBI 12 slugged a thousand in an Ops of 1.4 for8 on the week Bobby Wht Jr uh continuing to to Proclaim himself as an absolute superstar superstar in baseball and what those Royals are doing you may not you may not know a ton about the Royals or or be following along with them too much this year but that that AL Central race man the Royals the Guardians the twins are playing better it’s a lot of fun with what they got going on and like you said Alex a big reason for that what the Royals are doing is because of Bobby Wht and got to throw Salvador Perez in there as well the guy’s just the Ageless Wonder let’s move to the Outfield you guys now remember three outfielders not necessarily by position order does not matter but let’s get started with yordon Alvarez yeah yon’s up first he hit 409 yordon a little slower start to the year than than usual for him hit 409 this week with a homer four doubles and an Ops of 1. 263 so yordon Alvarez first of three outfielders all right next up the judge Aaron judge what a week five homers five of them count them one two three four five home runs nine RBI slugged over 1,00 on the week an Ops just under 1,600 and hit 375 on the week so I’m going to go Aaron judge as my second of three outfielders all right rounding out the Outfield Carrie Carpenter yeah Carrie Carpenter for the Detroit Tigers good week 389 three homers seven RB again an Ops over 1500 so my Outfield looks like yordon Alvarez Aaron judge Carrie Carpenter in no particular order just those three guys all right moving to our designated hitter the new face in San Diego a friend of the show Louis arise yeah 472 on the week with a homer Luis R out there hitting homers 17 hits and an Ops of just about 1100 I saw a crazy statistic crazy that involved Louisa rise I think I remember it uh since lis eyes was traded to the Padres so like I don’t know two weeks ago something like that 16 hits okay or yeah 16 hits in a in a short period of time and it ALS this throws Joey Gallow right under the bus but it also said Joey Gallow 16 hits since August of 2023 tough but good but tough depending on which side you’re on crazy but Lis arise since going over to the Padre’s has just uh multi-hit game after multi-hit game and he has just proven that he is at this point he’s he’s the new age version of Tony Gwen and now we’re watching him on the Padres which is really cool I’m just so happy for him because it feels like just watching the last couple of weeks with him being on the Padre in San Diego that it’s just like where he was meant to be yeah he’s thriving kind of like stto you know was at the right spot in San Diego him being on the Yankees where he’s supposed to be yep so that’s cool okay let’s move to starting pitcher of the week Marcus strowman yeah strowman was really really good for the Yankees we had Luis heel on last week’s team of the week as starting pitcher now we have Marcus strowman bunch of Yankees and they’re playing great Baseball 13 and a third Innings pitch so he had two starts um 11 strikeouts on the week only one earned run given up in two starts really really good week for him so Marcus strowman is my starting pitcher okay and rounding it out with our relief pitcher Craig crimble that’s right Craig kemell three saves two and two3 innings pitch this is huge huge for the Baltimore Orioles they need some back into the bullpen help this is exactly why they went to get Craig Kimbrell so that he could be a eighth or ninth inning guy depending on youir Canó or is he going to pitch but they wanted him to be that ninth inning guy he pitched his way out of that for a little while but picked up three saves this week was really really good not a single hit not a single walk which is huge for Kim w when he’s when he’s not going great he’s kind of all over the place no walks in all of his appearances this week so really really good news if you’re in Orioles fan you love to see that so going around the field we got JT real Muto behind the plate Bryce Harper at first Michael Massie at second Luis rifo at third Bobby Whit Jr shortstop the the middle infield just a bunch of Royals out there yordon Alvarez Aaron judge carry carpenter carpenter in the Outfield Luis Arise at DH Marcus strowman starting pitcher Craig Kimbrell is my relief pitcher thanks for watching if you
