IT’S NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR NIKITA ZADOROV AND THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS…
[Music] yeah you know what thinking about it now I think it was a good decision to go out there and split these two topics into separate videos about an hour ago on the channel we had discussed the idea of the Vancouver conu signing defenseman Brendan Dylan and that was a pretty fun video we talked about a guy that I happen to like a lot as a shot blocking physical defenseman and now what I wanted to do was talk about the guy that he could be replacing because if you were the biggest Nikita zadorov truther out there I hate to say it but things may not be looking all too good in regards to Z and the Vancouver Canucks now we had ourselves a new update from earlier yesterday on Nikita zadorov this is what Dolly Wall Sports went out there and said on the Donnie and Dolly show the Vancouver Canucks and agent Dan milstein are not talking right now but as I’ve said for a while the Vancouver can no milstein’s ask before the playoffs the two sides talked and it went nowhere with milstein rejecting the Vancouver conects offer now at this point if we combine this information with what we had talked about a little bit ago people are thinking that 5 to 7 years for zadorov gets it done close to $6 million a season Dolly ball says I don’t think the Canucks can do that it really starts to paint a picture as to whether or not this guy has the actual likelihood of coming back and I think a lot of Canucks fans are sort of feeling that as well you know I don’t think there are many Canuck fans that are thinking about this situation saying yeah no I’m confident 110% confident that they’re going to bring back Nikita zadorov like sure if you’re a casual fan who doesn’t understand much about the salary cap and how that works and what room you have and how much you have to spend then okay great I can understand blind hope and optimism there but anybody who’s looking at the situation talking about what zadorov has done how much he could get on his next deal because of the crazy good playoffs that he had it’s really starting to look more and more like the guy might have priced himself out of Vancouver and that’s awesome for zadorov like totally great for him to go out there and get that bag elsewhere but for Patrick gvin and Rutherford sometimes that ruthless nature is what you need to be able to progress a hockey team forward it’s almost like yeah you can’t have any emotional sentimental attachments to your players you can’t be giving anybody any special treatment it’s just hey we have this amount if you want more you’re gone we’re not going to try to make it work try to fit you into the system because we want to keep you so badly if you are outside our preference then you’re not it like you have to be picky in building a Stanley Cup Championship caliber team and for big Z while it is true that this guy might have just exhibited the best Vancouver conu defense glow up we have seen in years the guy had Swagger he played with Pace he scored some huge goals at the end of the day there are reasons why the Vancouver Canucks could not commit the money and term to him that he would like let’s go out there and talk so zadorov as we had said had 14 points in 54 games played this season with the kanaks eight points in 13 games in the playoffs he was an absolute monster and quite frankly I don’t think the Canucks ever saw what a lot of flames and Colorado Avalanche fans would say was the worst of Nikita zadorov where sometimes he would have these brain fart moments he would make Tyler Meers like defensive mistakes and he might make some bad turnovers and reads the Canucks didn’t really see much of that and the question then becomes okay is what we saw in the playoffs more of what zadorov is versus what we had seen in the regular season or is there another version of zadorov that exists that we just didn’t see at all and the Canucks will see if they commit five six years to him they just didn’t see it because he only spent a very limited amount of time here for all intents and purposes if you want to talk about a contract year you want to talk about a guy making the right moves at the right time and being the best version of himself at the right time Nikita zadorov did that like he was near perfect for his own standards towards the end of the season and the playoffs I mean the guy would make some nice dangles to get out of defensive situations the guy could dangle around guys and skate the puck out himself he was not afraid to take on attackers head-on and that’s a quality that while it looks good when it works these are the moments where if Nikita Zadora fumbles a breakout that he’s trying to do he tries to dangle by a guy and it doesn’t work then all of a sudden he gets burned it’s a two-on-one and the pck is in the back and that the other way these are like the Tyler Myers’s moments that we have talked about ever since the dwar was acquired by the Vancouver Canucks hey this guy kind of exist some sort of a hot potato danger grenade scenario situation with his game but when it works when the moments that he has actually work in the way he thinks they should they look great and he’s a fantastic player fantastic ad and he’s not afraid to shoot the PAC on goal and he gets it by goalies he was able to score four goals in that playoff run but again is that enough to justify the huge price tag I’d say that for the regular season Nikita zadorov was more so just kind of fine like he just ascended to a new level in the playoffs but in the regular season he was just kind of okay is it worth it to pay5 plus million $6 million a year for a guy who’s okay for 82 games in a regular season and beastly in the playoffs I mean we had seen earlier in the playoff run that yeah Tyler Myers was in a way justifying that $6 million aav with his postseason performance so maybe you could make that argument but then again Tyler Myers burned the team for years so is that really what the kcks want to do here when committing to Nikita zadorov especially if that five six seveny year $6 million aav price tag would be able to get it done for some other team on the free agent market for big Z himself while it is true that the fans really liked him he liked the fans the team really liked him he was just such a good dude in that locker room it seemed like is that enough of an incentive to overpay for a guy and keep him around for the majority of his early 30s and as well as we had said in the last video to be the third pairing left-handed defenseman I mean if you want to talk about left-handed D Quinn Hughes Carson Susi and then Nikita zadorov or Brendan Dylan or whomever Carson Susi isn’t cheap himself he’s making 3 point something mil Quinn Hughes of course making 7.8 so the Vancouver Canucks having themselves their own cap situation on the left side is there really room to commit an extra $6 million a year to a second or a third pairing defenseman this is why the Brendon Dylan argument makes so much sense to me because it’s like yeah you could just behind this guy who is a physical shot blocking machine I’d say he’s a lot safer defensively than Nikita zadorov but not as good offensively and he’ll probably be cheaper he also wants to come here via the interview he did on Donnie and doly so is that just not more of a preferable Target here use some of the extra cap savings you could get from not signing zadorov and signing Dylan instead to get yourself some extra depth forwards that could be the next Dakota Joshua I just think there’s a smarter way to navigate this if Nikita zador is not going to get that price tag lowered especially since the newest update said yeah know the Canucks are not really talking with Dan milstein they know the ask they know what he wants but they’re just not really engaging in conversations especially since the earlier conversations during the season zidor ob’s Camp already rejected so yeah know it’s not looking good if I had to label the odds like it really just boils down to how much you feel the Vancouver conu will be willing to commit that money to him in lie of committing that money to other players that might be more helpful in other of the team I’d say honestly I’m leaning like 25 to 30% chance that sidorov comes back like if he does come back then okay look I’d like it he’s an awesome player but there are check marks that we have to go through acknowledging okay is this zadorov in the playoffs the zadorov that we’re signing or is this just a flash in the pan for a playoff run and he’ll only be this good in the playoffs and for 82 games in the regular season he’ll just be okay to Mid at best like I don’t know man it’s tough so let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about the entire Nikita zorov conversation do you think this is a more appropriate addition to the 2425 roster than a guy like Brendan Dylan let me know your thoughts in the comments section below I hope you enjoyed this vsh asash roll 99 and bye [Music] [Music]

If Zaddy leaves Vancouver I’m leaving with him 😭
Not a huge deal. Please do not get trapped into another too rich deal for too long.
Anything more than a $4 x 4 deal for Zadorov is too much.
Kings fan : all I can say is that whilst rooting for the Canucks to dispatch Edmonton, I was like going …I want zodorav ! He stood out ! We need him !
It’s a tough one. He was so good in the playoffs that you forget he was just okay in the regular season where he was scratched and there was discussion of management not bringing him back.
pay that man his money
What do the oilers have to say? They Own me
Zaddy will stay.
They need a better salary cap maybe like premiere league soccer. Also we need a world hockey league. when canada and sweden were battling for the bronze there is something bigger going on. North American hockey is getting really boring. I want to see a team in Switzerland win the Stanley Cup. Or Latvia with Silovs. Also Petterson is getting 11+M but he had the worst playoffs and 2nd half of the year. We need player who come out and play every night.
Keep in mind that the source (Dhaliwal) is kinda bffs with Zadorov’s agent (Milstein), so I would take this news with a grain of salt. Regardless, we need a cup winning roster, if losing Z is what’s best for the team as a whole, I’m all for it! Cups aren’t won by city’s favourite players, it’s won by well built teams.
That worse thing that can happen is getting trapped by poor deals. Z although great in the playoffs, has never really proven himself to be a $6M player. I think $4-5M is good but if that doesn’t work for him or his agent, then I’m okay with him leaving.
It doesn't matter what side of the deal you are on, you never accept the first offer.
Nobody accepts the 1st offer. It's called negotiation
There are lots of pieces at play so not talking right now is not a big deal. Also, was Z playing for the bag or for the cup? I'm not sure I can answer that tbh.
Brah I used to like your videos but now your pure click bait. And it’s sad
We need big Z back!
this is the same reason he was traded from Calgary. He wanted too much so he was moved.
Canucks fans loves offense and points they don't CARE about size, grit, toughness, hard hitting, nor fighting. Toronto is prob their dream team, and look to them as a pricing figure for future contracts. They love the small swedes/euros in Vancouver. Teams marveled at the size of the defense in Vancouver this year. to bad they they don't do the same with the forwards. Some things will never change in Vancouver.
Trade Pettersen and use the money to sign Zidorov, Tyler, and Joshua
