He turns 21 in February.
He is big enough to play.
He will definitely be successful in the NBA.

Thats a good argument if we had the 2nd or 3rd overall pick, but with Sarr (who turns 20 in April) available at 1, we gotta take him.
Sometimes I wish we just got like the fourth pick to make it easier on us lol
Those arguments were opinions. Here is another opinion. He doesn’t have the dexterity or foot coordination to be an effective player in today’s NBA.
Wasn’t Clingan slower than Edey in a number of agility drills?
I like Clingan – just not at 1. Everyone in the lottery has major flaws or areas you can criticize in their games this year which is super frustrating. If Quinn wants a Rudy with an outside shot then he may pound the table for Clingan. The issue with picking Clingan is you gotta have smart players who buy into the drop coverage scheme to funnel guys towards your big center and with our current personnel that seems difficult to imagine at best.
We better not take skinny Walker Kessler at 1
