Indianapolis Colts’ Shane Steichen On Anthony Richardson: ‘If We Played On Sunday, He’d Be Starting’

yeah yeah yeah uh it was a great Camp um guys flew around uh these last three days um had a nice fun competition at the end to end it off um I really like where our team’s at had been a training game update on Anthony why he didn’t throw yeah uh rest assured if we played on Sunday he’d be starting U he just had some soreness in his arm so we just precautionary reasons he help out what’s that he experienced a sish yesterday during practice or yeah he had it during practice so we just precautionary is that just kind of is that just kind of part of the deal with this that people will have some of those instances or is this unexpected yeah like you said we’re going to monitor everything we’re monitoring it you feel some soreness orever just going to hold him we hel him out today anything back related he’s getting his back stretched out on Tuesday yeah no he just had a little quick ma the way threw them all but he’s fine does it alter anything going into the offseason this being the last time piece here you guys have to tell them to like take it easy a little bit or yeah we’ll have a plan for him we’ve talked about it we’ll continue to talk about it here the next couple days with him um being away for you know a couple weeks um but he’ll have a plan going forward this summer so he’ll be ready to roll for sh we’re conditioned around here to freak out when a quarterback does anything like that um I know youve tried to Tamp us down a little bit what else give us something else please more fans are us but he’s okay yeah he’s fine yeah he’s good to go uh the doctor checked him out he’s good he’s got some SS we know how much he loves being out here so just what’s sort of his feedback I guess when you do like pull him back yeah I mean he’s a competitor he wants to out here with these guys competing uh but we got to do what’s best for the team and what was best for the team was holding out today CH position group really catch your eye this spring you know it I think all the all the position groups did a good job it’s hard when you’re not in pads you know I think we’ll really that’ll show up uh and train C the first couple weeks um so if you ask me that again I’ll have a better answer for you but I thought all the guys all the decisions competed their PS off what what uh from the start of the off start of the offseason to now uh how is your opinion of the team been shaped or changed or anything along this line well I think you can see the communication in the chemistry with the guys you know we signed a lot of our guys back which I think that’s that’s a bonus and I think that’s a plus for us you know sometimes you get so many new faces in here and then you got to recreate the communication piece of it uh guys know the standard guys know how to operate and I think that’s going to pay dividends uh come September and the fall what was Alec dealing with uh he had his foot stepped on last week um so just again precautionary reason holding is EJ speed your emergency quarterback he did pretty good so I I mean he he might have a try out here in training camp or something happen Freeland tackle eligible yeah he’s there’s always something there you know you’re always looking at everything how much was zier campaign to be a part of that feel like he’s always trying to get on your little tricks yeah no uh we had a uh we handpicked him as a staff and uh went from there and sou light out Shane just to clarify was Anthony Held out today because of the s from yesterday or was that correct
