Can Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr. Led Arizona Cardinals Offense Become TOP 10 NFL JUGGERNAUT?

fan of Circle K not slept on Circle K everybody knows their greatness however I would argue the Cardinals and their offense officially slept on within the NFL landscape and it’s where I want to start Today’s Show welcome everybody damn near 100 to kick off the show like this video friend of the program Mina Kims was on NFL live today talking up the Cardinal offense and I’m like this seems like a good time to just assess where we’ve been and where we’re going as an or organization with the Arizona Cardinals specifically offensively because I’m GNA be honest with everybody I’ve had some slap dicks in my comments basically saying you know what the Cardinals are overrated Vegas has them exactly where they need to be Johnny quit being biased okay we can have that discussion after you assess where the Cardinals were offensively last year at training camp to now because B Brock we saw it with their own eyes it is a stark difference and I would argue today they have one of the best Premier offensive skilled groups in the NFL when you combine age skilled players how much they’re not paying certain players and of course the aformentioned Kyler Marie yeah look unfortunately there’s some sticks in the muds out there that lack any kind of foresight looking to the Future and can only make a determination based off previous performance when you know obviously the people who make the the big bucks and and get you know notoriety in this business um and I think slap dick is is a a business term that that you utilize there but like me a k she’s just breaking down as far as the Arizona Cardinals when when Kyler Murray returned to his offense first in yards per carry first in EPA on the ground the rushing attack was the top of the league uh it was up there as far as explosive plays James Connor was way over five yards per carry Kyler Murray turned back the clock even coming back from a serious knee injury he looked good in the Run game as well Michael Carter was a good complimentary back and now you add Trey Benson to that rushing attack and some really uh maybe blockers who are more geared up towards run blocking as well it just establishes what they want to do and be a bully team in the Run game and then what’s going to open up as far as this passing attack look I I I’m not gonna do anything I’m not gonna cater toward those people who can’t you know see uh the forest through the trees and where this offense is going but I think come late September early October they’re going to see it play out in real time and uh they’ve got the pieces for this offense as Kyler Murray said with the addition of of Marvin Harrison Jr and him being who they expect him to be and a top wide out in this league um that they should be a top offense in the NFL I want to do something a little unconventional typically when you’re looking at improvements you have to go backwards to look ahead right um and then when Matthew cone I said sometimes you have to go back to go forward I don’t want to do that today is that like a was that a car commercial that he did something like that maybe selling kiosk or something no free ads on this show unless you’re Circle K um I want to look at the Personnel right now this year I want to assess collectively as a unit here on phnx Cardinals is at a top 10 offense and then put the children away hide everybody the we’ll put a big explicit content here on phnx Cardinals I’m going to show you what they opened up 2023 is training camp with and uh it could get ugly so let’s let’s let’s look I’m going to point this is a theme today I’m going to point 2024 offensive Personnel is this B Brock on the spot a top 10 offense in the making led by of course Kyler Murray who by all accounts is having a banner off season we talked about it yesterday poised for maybe maybe an MVP year comeback Player of the Year certainly a career year if he stays healthy led by K1 he’s ready to go and then of course m Wilson returns second-year pop player one of the easiest players to project not only with the Cardinals but I think in the NFL as somebody who’s going to benefit from the year two after his rookie season the quintessential year two burst and then of course Trey McBride the tight end the solidified playmaker Allstar Pro Bowl caliber tight end and then we’ve got James Connor James Connor the actual Pro Bowl player at running back Greg dorch in the slot Save The Best For Last mhj is your ex receiver looking at this group as a whole we talk about it whether it’s 10 Personnel 12 11 what have you is this a top 10 offense on paperb this is a top 10 offense with upside I don’t I don’t think that anybody should question that I don’t know where you would feel like you you that it should be lower than that because that would be a team that is not even delivering uh what the previous season’s expectations set right I mean this was a top 10 offense when Kyler Murray returned to the lineup yes and as far as was it up to par to NFL standards I think that you can say no especially when you look at the in the playmaking department of the wide receiver room but now you add Marvin Harrison Jr the best option at X that was available this off season and you NAB him and you lock him in for the next four to five years and then beyond that potentially and then Michael Wilson where Jonathan Ganon saying the biggest jump that these guys can make going from year one to year two is that the game slows down and what mik to think about what Michael Wilson can do with that and stay healthy that’ be huge and then Greg dorch you’ve seen the next level uh analytics his ability to get open and that he’s gonna benefit from guys like McBride mhj Wilson being out there and maybe a defense that’s geared up towards the Run game Greg dorch is gonna have probably his finest season like the expectations are high they should be because this off offense proved last year that it can be a top 10 unit and that if it doesn’t then it’s taking a step backwards and that’s a red flag uh so if we project all of those players to build upon what they did a year ago right Michael Wilson has 600 yards let’s say he goes for 8 850 Greg dorch has a comfortable six 700 yards and then of course we’re projecting mhj 11 12 1300 yards and then of course James Conor and Trey MCB and and Benson all get theirs like where’s where the gaps offensively like to me it’s like it comes down to I think there’s enough Playmakers now that you can supplement where Trey McBride can have an off Sunday and the Cardinals can still score 30 points where that was not the case necessarily at times last year as long as K1 is the straw that stir the drink for the entire unit they can go out and be a top 10 Run game production like they were last year they were ninth and rushing we’re going to talk about that here in a little bit and they can put up big points they can beat you in a lot of different ways and that’s why I look at that offense and again we didn’t break down the offensive line I think the offensive line is going to be better in last year I think they’re gonna have more continuity they have better depth right I think they have better opportunities to really grind teams out in the second half if they can keep a lead with their defense but for me it’s just like you know I was talking with somebody today it would not surprise me week one if Michael Wilson not MJ led the team in receiving yards against Buffalo had one to two touchdowns and that’s not to disc credit anything mhj does but it just talks about you look at the options of Plenty that were not available for Kyler Murray historically like outside of a couple flash in the pan opportunities with dehop and Christian Kirk what was it where was the depth right I mean really KY Murray played at his best when it was dehop AJ Green and Christian Kirk and I would argue long term this group’s a hell of a lot more talented than that with all due respect to those players biggest misconception for Kyler Murray one of the biggest Mis conceptions and a guy that you know misconceptions surround uh the guy the quarterback you know now going into year six but is is that he’s had consistent playmaking his entire career I mean he came into the league he had uh Larry Fitzgerald you know in the second to last season of his career was playing in the slot playing in the slot in a brand new offense for Fitz at the time with Cliff Kingsbury uh and there was really nobody else in that offense uh as far as wide receivers go then you add DeAndre Hopkins the next next year and in a full season with dehop Kyler Murray you know he turns continues to have dehop he’s a400 yard Receiver right then the next two seasons you get uh half of the games from DeAndre Hopkins whether it’s injuries or whether it’s a suspension so like no DeAndre Hopkins and Kirk exits uh via free agency there there just wasn’t any consistency as far as The Playmakers were concerned and there certainly wasn’t any consistency as far as the play calling went with Cliff King beran I think you’ll see that a sound infrastructure from that department with Drew petson going forward and Israel wil workk at the quarterback coach position so yeah I mean it’s th this offense like you mentioned the offensive line I think that that’s going to be the huge key here I mean for with Paris Johnson Jr moving over from right tackle to left tackle and he admitted it during his uh his press availability that he knew that defenses were going to test him last year and I think that continues this year that he’s going to be tested by some of the top pass rushers that they’re going to face on their schedule and then you’re going to have to have guys that you either are the status quo from last year and you’re going to have to hopefully have somebody hold down that left guard spot uh but I do like what you said as far as the continuity is concerned with Will Hernandez yela frol and Paris Johnson Jr being the returners uh from last year and being the leaders of that group as well uh to kind of pave the way and continue the consistency from that group that but he really enjoyed for the bulk of 2023 I’m going to Showcase this comment from Stephen and I think it it really speaks to our argument here don’t forget about Z Jones Trey Benson tip the tip man and Elijah higgy bear Higgins there were games last year I think in against Pittsburgh the two leading receivers were Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins right and so I the Cardinals have supplemental depth now and back to my original point where beat you a lot of different ways and Cardinals love 13 Personnel they love three tight ends they wouldn’t have drafted a blocking tight end traditionally in the top 90 this year if they weren’t going to use multiple tight ends but then they also go out of sound mind and say we love personel Johnny yeah I’m not a fan of that I’m not a fan of 10 Personnel screen screaming to death minus two yards and get my wide receiver and subsequently my QB killed I want to go north and south um but I mean just Z Jones comes in and we mentioned it on yesterday show he can be an interchangeable chess piece for every position that they have the X the Y the Z but you don’t need him to do anything in particular other than be that safety net like Michael Wilson is the starting outside Receiver obset mhj Michael Wilson misses time like he’s been known to do Z Jones can step in if Greg dorch let’s say gets banged up on a punt return guess what Z Jones can be the slot receiver that next offensive series same thing with Elijah Higgins God forbid if something happened to Trey McBride like they have so many opportunities now different ways to beat you and the continuity not only in the offensive line but in the skill player realm like we know mhj I was watching something recently where and I think Jim Harbaugh is going to do a better job of this but last year just kind of the the Bumble operation in Los Angeles with the with the Chargers took a first round receiver in Quinton Johnston and basically we’re trying to do what the Cardinals are going to do with mhj you’re an outside receiver you can run all the routes and he suffered right didn’t have a very good year whereas now they’re putting him in the slot they’re going to have a very refined set of of options for him to run routes and they’re they’re trying trying to make the most of him as an underneath receiver you don’t have to do that with Marvin like Marvin this is not breaking news is not Quinton Johnson he is not limited he is perhaps the most refined outside route running receiver we’ve seen in half a decade so we can feel comfortable sliding him in as the ex receiver and say your route tree is wide open like as special as Marvin is and you’ve seen it up close bow from a physical standpoint like 63 and a half he’s built like a tank his feet are Elite they are special his ability his out routes are phenomenal and so you you couple that now with everybody else the complimentary roles that they’re going to have with this offense just unlocks a new level that should equate Kyler Murray’s Health permitting to a top 10 offense I don’t want to say Sleepwalk but for me it’s gonna be hard to look at a box score at the end of any game this year I don’t care who the opponent is whether it’s Seattle San Francisco whatever and the Cardinals did not put up 25 26 27 30 plus points it’s like something dire had to have happen where an injury turnovers whatever because the pieces are there they weren’t there last year but they’re sure as hell there now you know I asked Kyler yesterday I mentioned this on the show you know from a playmaking standpoint or playmaker standpoint and a play calling standpoint like has he ever felt like in his career he’s been set up uh to have this much success and he said it was reminiscent and I’m paraphrasing uh but of his Heisman Trophy winning campaign at Oklahoma he like you look at Oklahoma and that offense with Kyler Murray at the quarterback position cidd lamb uh Hollywood Brown at his Peak um I mean just making plays all over the field for him in a in a really rock solid offensive line and and you know Lincoln Riley who’s one of the top offensive play callers still at the Cent level uh is the play caller there for the Sooners in in their run to a college football playoff appearance but I I love the diversity of this wide receiver room as you mentioned with Z Jones Jonathan Ganon saying he’s a three-position wide receiver so is Michael Wilson remember we were learning about Michael Wilson at this time last year and he learned every single uh position he can in the wide receiver room we know Greg dorch can play all the positions as well and if you watch the tape on Marvin Harrison Jr he can run most of the routes out there as well so uh I think that as far as the wide receiver room goes not only does it have you know your three starters that you’re excited about but you you’ve got you know a depth piece in in Z Jones and you got Chris Moore who was uh I know if you he he didn’t play a whole lot for for Tennessee but he was a guy that was has the Affinity to make a big play he had over what 19 yards per catch last year and limited snaps so and and if you like Xavier Weaver from Colorado as an undrafted rookie free agent uh that that’s a guy that adds to the room and Daniel uas you know guy in his second season coming out of Colorado so it’s it’s unbelievable how Monty afor has been able to transform this room in just a short year’s time yeah zero drops last year by the way for one Michael Wilson charted drops last year and people are like you know what I’m not sure the Cardinals have a true number two receiver and again this is going to come off like I’m knocking the other white outs and I love Greg dorch and I think he’s a unique player that they can use in a lot of different ways like the Cardinals have in my opinion their own version of a t Higgin S type of compliment to to mhj like we all believe mhj is going to reach that hierarchy of Justin Jefferson Jamar Chase like those are the expectations that came with Heaven Marvin Harrison Jr but I I you can’t convince me otherwise from what I saw from Michael Wilson last year that he can’t go out and be a productive consistent 10,000 yard receiver opposite Marvin like if he’s healthy and K1 are healthy and what we saw the projection if you just take Marvin his or excuse me michaelin his projection and his ction at the end of last year that’s easily a 10,00 yard receiver you know he’s a friend of the program he’s been on a couple times it’s not just because we’re friendly with him I truly believe it he was one of the most impressive players at offensive training camp last year with a team that desperately needed somebody to step up and show out so he is on top of mhj the easiest player to project if if you look at the Cardinals at the end of the year and they finished seventh in total offense and you asked Johnny what happened what was the pop player I would say it’s Michael Wilson because Marvin’s going to get his Kyler’s going to get his but if you look at okay who is next up to eat this year in 2024 it’s Michael Wilson to me well who’s out there at sworo high school catching balls from Kyler Murray who who’s the guy that Kyler Murray’s told the media yesterday that he could rely on to pick up the phone at 3: a.m I can’t rely on my coost to do that I don’t know my life that way not disturb but our Stanford man uh Mike Willie uh is poised for a breakout and you know he’s doing he’s going to do everything within his power to do that and you saw that and he broke down the intricacies of where maybe the uh struggles were when they had you know that couple game stretch where they were oating targets and him pulling down receptions and then boom uh you know they connect on a two-point conversion and then a touchdown and then you know nice yardage game in the in the regular season finale against the Seahawks and my Micha Wilson so uh what did Kyler Murray this was a quote from him about Michael Wilson he loves this [ __ ] he lives to play ball it’s you know love ball like Jonathan Ganon likes to say that’s the type of player that they’re bringing into this organization and Kyler believes that you know Michael Wilson’s got a long career ahead of him and I really think that he’s going to uh kind of establish himself maybe make himself a household name outside of Arizona this season with K1 healthy yeah it was about it was over the course of about seven quarters I think after Kyler Murray and he had that miscommunication was the pick six against Philadelphia and Michael had come on our show and said Kyler could have just said you know what I’m done I’m gonna go a different direction and he kept looking to Michael Wilson over the course of the last two games Kyler and Michael Wilson 10 of 12 12 targets 10 receptions 130 yards and a touchdown again against Philadelphia playoff team and Seattle had a winning record and that was after earlier in the season he had a stretch I think with Joshua dobs where he was perfect through two games Dallas and San Francisco he had almost 160 yards so he did it with multiple quarterbacks we talk about how you have to have a relationship a refinement a Cadence or rhythm with your QB he had to do it with three quarterbacks last year four if you count Colt McCoy and that perfectly Segways us into hi hide your young ones right we’re gonna we’re going to break down the Cardinals 202 if you’ve eaten recently uh maybe sit down I don’t know try to find yourself something to maybe a cold washcloth yeah this is this is gonna be ugly but before hang on real quick so we’ve got we’ve got it’s it’s popped up real quick here I want to preface this by saying this following you’re gonna see an offense that it was the starting offense in training camp and for most of the preseason that still despite this finished 19th in total offense 19th the new New York Jets would kill for that 19th in total offense with Drew psin and fourth in rushing this unit eventually led to that Damon dog let’s see it the 2023 Arizona Cardinal offense this time last year okay Michael Wilson we mentioned earned a spot even though everybody on the on outside of this podcast was saying it’s gonna be Zach Pascal it wasn’t it was Michael Wilson then it was Hollywood Brown out of town signed a one-year deal with Kansas City Ron Del Moore who was traded for a backup quarterback Zack hers who literally respectfully could not move last year and basically had to be cut mid-season James Conor is fantastic Colt McCoy who was qb1 the entire off season and this was the only podcast with the Gusto to say get this guy out of here he cannot throw the football anymore and then he was uh subsequently cut and they traded for Joshua dobs and then keante Ingram I have no idea where he’s at he was rb2 this was the offense that was earning the large majority of reps I know Zs was coming back from injury but for the most part this was our ride or die unit that eventually led to with some of these players gone the 19th total offense last year how about it man the 2023 Arizona C offense it’s uh that was something man I mean Cole McCoy who’s in the podcast game now like we are and it’s it’s not less than a year later Zack hers who’s uh planning to come in the week four as a member of the Washington commanders but uh never really legitimately resurfaced after you know they uh mutually parted Ways last season and then yeah you mentioned Rond Del Moore who is our guy Trevor syus that was just basically working on his cardio last year when he wasn’t running Gadget plays for the Arizona Cardinal I mean this is unbelievable it’s it’s really a testament to to Monty Austin Fort uh Drew ping and crew and and rebuilding this thing on the Fly and finding some building blocks in Wilson and and understanding that James Conor how much he has left in the tank and and what is g to make him Thrive and then getting you know Kyler Murray bringing him around correctly uh putting him back in in the lineup in week 10 and setting himself up not only to kind of knock the rust off and and get the Reps necessary last year to you know hit the ground running in the 2020 off season for a big you know upcoming season we uh pride ourselves on trying to be accurate on this podcast and I feel like we we did our audience Justice this time last year we we basically hedged our bet that that Colt McCoy could not play anymore that Zack hers had no business starting over Trey McBride and that Rond Del Moore should not be playing over Greg dorch all of that age pretty well uh and so we’ll toot our own whn toot toot today on this Lou Armstrong with that I mean you should because you were you were one of the you were big on McCoy I mean I was saying McCoy over tune but it was just you know I I I think I understood that ton just as a fifth round rookie coming out of a non- power five conference wasn’t ready either isn’t it wild ton started more games than Colt McCoy one to zero for the Cardinals last year it’s unbelievable you go back and watch those archive videos here phnx Cardinals phnx Sports on YouTube and just like I just couldn’t f them what we were seeing it was Unthinkable they had never been done in the NFL where a guy who couldn’t throw during practice was going to go and lead a team and now we know nine games in until Kye Murray came back it was it was a special kind of ass that we saw last year I love these comments too uh aie 221 this ruined my love for the sport uh that’s that’s certainly a take right there that offense Valley boy 14 called it hot trash cardi D the vomit emoji and then Azie Rond Del Moore is so trash and then people asking Bo did you relieve yourself during that uh that graphic on the screen so a lot of good stuff happened I relieve myself yeah basically throwing up yeah I got I I felt ill that’s for sure couldn’t couldn’t avoid it yeah it’s uh come a long way and now I think again good to have Monty Austin forward in the full didn’t take him long we had to endure that for about half a season if that uh and Cardinal now back in a big way we’re back in a big way are you living Johnny because you just got back from Hawaii and I I hear reports that you have moved into a gated community as well so Shing that on this brast now we’re do we’re doing all right we’re doing okay your boy’s doing fine uh I did lose my Shady Rays to the ocean I broke down that story yesterday so I’ve since used our bonus code to order a new pair but I spent this morning reading your article about one K1 and I thought it was interesting you know Bo mentioned earlier in the show Kyler Murray having the sense of comfort that he has not had really since Oklahoma and it’s really poetic it’s like Okay Oklahoma has their act together with Lincoln Riley then he comes to Arizona with maybe some not great people in charge and it’s taken upwards of four to five years and now he feels that Comfort level again I wonder what’s changed maybe it’s the people around them yeah could be could be yeah not just not just the Personnel but of course the relationship with the coach the with the GM all of that matters you hear a lot of optimism this time of year right I I said this in the story you get that from just about every team every year and you’re like okay yeah I’ve heard this hundred times before but what about this this and this you listen to Kyler talk yesterday Bo was there we talked about it after that session and I think everybody in that room came away like wow that was different it felt different it felt like a mature guy talking a guy who had been through some [ __ ] in his first few seasons in the NFL and now he’s seeing the light at the end of the tunnel he’s seeing what it can be and he’s learned so much from all of the all that adversity really it just sounded like a different person and again these these are just words but it did feel different and then when you talk about the people around him having changed I don’t think optimism is unwarranted at this point for for this team I think it is warranted so I mean in your opinion what do you think would be fair for you know this franchise quarterback that big money extension now kind of kicking in it’s the first year of that deal from the previous regime like I I don’t think it’s unfair to put you know you know in a second year of a build high expectations on this team and their quarterback especially in this league right we we’ve seen this happen so many times with teams it’s not like listen I just got through covering I don’t know what that was with the Arizona Coyotes but you know it was Perpetual rebuild but it doesn’t take long in the NFLs if you if you get the if you get some key things right we’ve seen a lot of quick turnarounds in this league as we talked about a little earlier Bo the margins in this league are so small it just takes a couple plays or couple changes in personnel and you can go from a four- win team to suddenly being a wild card team I don’t think it’s crazy at all to talk about that with the Arizona Cardinal this season particularly with with the pieces they’ve added on offense Craig you covered this team in much of Larry Fitzgerald’s Heyday but I I thanks for making me feel old buddy absolutely no problem I’m here to do that you were here with Buddy Ryan right yeah tell him he’s got say he’s been has 30 years experience let’s talk about Don Corel who else can we bring Jim har uh no it Larry Fitzgerald is the standard and I think we we look back though and we forget and like Larry’s admitted this early on in his career albeit a receiver he was concerned about other things like hey Kurt Warner get me so many yards in a game like he’s admitted that right yet with Kyler Murray everybody was quick to jump on this kid and I emphasize kid who’s drafted by an organization that has never won consistently before who immediately makes them but all we want to do like I bring it up all the time Craig Bo and I were on Super Bowl Radio Road last year and everybody here locally in the valley and everybody externally wanted to take a shot at somebody who just blown up their knee after playing in a playoff game the year before yeah like I I just feel like KY Murray for whatever reason is not given the kind of Grace that other professional athletes are given within this market and we have a very select memory with that and I I I wonder you’ve been around this market for a long time to be able to dissect every kind of different era not only of Cardinal football but Arizona sports like have you ever seen anything like this before yeah you know it’s funny I was talking to Jody aor about this earlier you you don’t you can’t think of another guy who’s been under the microscope like this and I think it’s a there are a lot of factors behind it right social media wasn’t around as as you mentioned indelicately before Johnny when I was covering the team previously I just think the media the glut of media covering the NFL right now the expectations just just the constant microscope there’s so many narratives out there and I think I think it was Kyler himself Bo that said it the other day you nitpick everything right you can you can build all these narratives I’m not sure if it’s fair that early in a player’s career yeah he had a catastrophic knee injury but what about what it looked like his trajectory was before that we we remember those first few seasons this guy was the NFL offensive rookie of the year right he showed some great promise early on and there were a lot of factors outside of his control that might have derailed temporarily but it’s not like we’re talking about a guy who’s been in the league 10 years now where we can say yeah you know what it’s over for Kyler Murray move on he’s coming into his prime now and he finally has the pieces around him the health the Peace of Mind the maturity to maybe put this all together yeah I me you have a ton of great quotes from his availability yesterday I thought one of the ones that stood out was when he was he was ask he was answering Darren Urban and he he pretty much opened it with it’s just a natural maturation of things right and I think that that’s key for Kyler Murray that people just completely just disregard it when he’s in his early 20s and he’s coming off you know being in the one of the best football programs in the country goes number one overall and he brings his amend skill set to an organization that now we’re seeing was in complete disarray and he was still able to accomplish those things but along the way through all that through the trials through the adversity it looks like he’s really kind of developed as many people do some people don’t but into a pretty mature budding leader it’s funny how that works right you go through some adversity in your life you actually mature you actually learn things you actually get better at your job I I know there’s such great expectations placed on these players these days right it’s it’s insane what’s expected of a player immediately if you step into the right situation like a Patrick mahom sure you can have instant success but he didn’t have that situation here let the guy mature let the guy grow into it again we’re nowhere near the point where you’re you’re ready to say yeah Kyler Murray is not going to be the guy you move I had someone in my Twitter mentions today saying it’s time to move on they should have moved on from him already well how can you make that judgment based on what has been here yeah yeah here we go it’s nice to have that I got to admit some sort of expectations about the team I’m covering uh that’s interesting because I I do want to ask you this because you have fresh eyes on this team and I think that’s one of the best things that you’re going to bring to not only the go next articles that you write but this beat in general and you’ve been out to a handful of practices you’ve witnessed with your own eyes this this team which has come a long way Craig from last year to this year in such a short time we just BR down the offensive improvements that they’ve had has there been a player that has stood out to you maybe outside of the usual cast of character let’s put Marvin and K1 off to the side for a second has there been a guy that stood out to you like holy [ __ ] who is that he’s impressive that you’re anxious to watch on football Sundays this fall I don’t want to disappoint you with this this answer but I don’t take a lot away from OTAs I have to be honest guys are running around without pads on I want to wait at least till Camp before I can give you an answer but I will give you an answer to that I promise eventually what I will say and Bo and I have talked about this as well as a as a beat reporter we’re we’re pretty simple people actually we have very fews very simple yes we have very few needs and one of those is just hoping of course for Access and hoping for good quotes there are so many good personalities on this team that’s one of the things that I’m really looking forward to I’m looking it can fail he understands all the crap that can be coming at him he’s learned from it and he’s ready to move on he’s excited he felt energetic he really felt reinvigorated yesterday when we talked to him it’s what you want to see I mean we’ve come a long way from him not speaking with Cliff kingsburry throughout the first three months of the 2022 NFL season he’s Craig Morgan our new fabulous beat you guys make of this promotion what do I make about this picture what is what is serani doing in this picture is is there becoming a more unlikable franchise than the Philadelphia Eagles right now I and I agree with you I think that this is just a way to shoehorn do back on the NFL Sidelines something that the other 31 organizations should should say this is an the most absurd thing ever and to get a title change of senior advisor to the GM chief of security after he was out there and he put hands on an actual NFL player during a game I mean what are we doing the Eagles have become one of the most if not the most unlikable team and it has nothing to do with the actual players on their roster think about how crazy that is yeah I don’t Jaylen Herz seems like a great guy you know Devonte Los Angeles with the Chargers and Justin Herbert and those with those re and then also you’re bringing in fangio and you’re you’re painting it as these are your saviors for for Nick serani I mean and the the excuse that came out in the off season that serani struggled when Dom wasn’t there was the most laughable report not a grown man that I yeah you’re not you’re not that that you need somebody help and tie his shoes in the morning well you like you joke and we’re going to joke here during this segment we did not see serani without big Dom in Indianapolis whether it was at the combine at bars downtown on the street at restaurants they were always together four times like it’s every like it was in Mobile too Johnny we saw him in Mobile walking around on the sidelines during one of the conferences with all the the GMS the head coaches and the prospects and indy is a curtain just a normal run-of-the-mill curtain one curtain one fabric curtain that just goes across a huge Convention Center room and we’re there on radio row and then comes around serani and big Dom and big Dom trying to make sure that he’s getting you know earning his paycheck that day is scoping out the area and literally comes from around the curtain and then goes to said curtain and Peaks around it like he’s he’s doing some sort of surveilling like he’s in the Secret Service like he he’s doing he’s getting Eagles have made some other changes to their front office staff yeah so they they’re adding a lot of key pieces that are really gonna kind of catapult this Future run here uh so first one we got here Meek Mill they’re bringing him on as director of Ting welcome to Philly Meek Mill that’s big that’s a big title for Meek Mill yeah absolutely uh next one we got here we got uh Shane Gillis is the but nobody better than RIS and Ganon to be able to orchestrate that boat as we pay close attention to that pass rush and we certainly will with like BJ lari and zav Collins and and that entire crew and a lot of continuity coming back from a group that didn’t produce at the end of the season like I am legitimately I think it’s an under the radar competition as far as how that secondary is really going to kind of settle in before the start of the season and I think it’s going to be a work in progress even when that goes but these are handpicked players from Annie awen Fort and Jonathan Ganon and Nick rollace to where I think that you should have confidence that between Garrett Williams keyrell Clark Starling Thomas and the new group this year with Max Melton and Elijah Jones and rabbit uh you know Taylor demerson like a couple of those guys are gonna be able to play and they’re gonna make some plays and pick up some passes for the Cardinals but you’re right up front that’s going to be
