Milwaukee Bucks’ Pat Connaughton, Andy North speak on AmFam Championship celebrity match

hopefully they stay away from me on the tea I don’t want to hate anybody I don’t want to lose any fans today uh no the fan base here in Wisconsin’s awesome um you know uh Andy and I have a friendly little Wisconsin versus Notre Dame rivalry at the Collegiate level but uh at the pro level we’re all aligned with obviously you know the uh bucks and Packers and Brewers and the fan base I think is one of the most underrated fan bases uh country and so to be out here now in a different setting um you know playing a different sport uh we’ll see how much they cheer me on depending on my performance yeah we’ll see if I can do it um you know my dad golfed on Fridays with his friends and his brother so um if I did good in school if I was a good child to my mom a good kid like he let me go out with them as I got to be uh you know junior high school and things like that and uh I think the ability to play multiple Sports is been something I’ve always been passionate about I’ve always kind of tried to push um you know the Next Generation to continue to try to excel in multiple Sports so uh you know to be a part of uh an event that is different than what people know me playing basketball and baseball uh I think it’s pretty cool because it just shows you know uh if you’re into sports if you love Athletics uh you know don’t let a youth’s coach tell you you got to speci at a young age like get your body exposured to different sports heal for you in the long run get your mind exposed to different levels of competition get your social skills exposed to different uh people and different uh ways you got to work as a team uh and that’s that’s what I’m kind of hoping to do today is um you know learn something from the three guys next to me in golf to try to get myself better and also show um you know you can excel in multiple different sports I think that’s what’s awesome to hear you know Matt and Michael talk about you know their experiences in golf prior to this and how grown at the game of golf and how they won’t say because they’re modest but how good they are at golf after obviously having uh such incredible decorated careers in their day job say helps do it the Thursday through Sunday out here is so much fun but to get to those days you know is well past me if if someone said you go teed up at the US Open next week on Thursday I think that’d be awesome I mean it would be terrible but it’ be fun to try to do that again um you I don’t I don’t do this much anymore body doesn’t work brain’s been fried multiple times so U it’s just a pleasure to get out here and every athlete loves to show off at whatever they do um Co for professional golf was really tough because there’s nobody out there and the top players struggle during that period of time so they’re so used to having everybody the energy around them the whole day and we still love that doesn’t matter how old you are it’s still nice to get a good shot and have somebody appreciate it or o that was pretty good you know I don’t get that much anymore but that’s you know once in a while maybe and we’re going to go out there and see if we can beat these two guys you know that’s what it’s all about I’m going ride P to the hilt and hopefully plays great I’m going to build him up I’m going to cheer for him every time
