boys it nice to be back home Brewers first game of a six-game home stand starts with three against the Toronto Blue Jays Colin Ray going through his warm-up tosses good to be back home here at American Family field third start for Horwitz he’s at second base for the third game in a row and this one down the left field line that’s a fair ball fortz goes the other way and he is on his way to second base with a one out double remember as Spencer told us a few days ago when he came back up to the big leagues doubles are good he’s he’s good at doubles and he’s got one here with one out in the top of the first it’ll bring up Vladimir Guerrero Jr ground ball hit to short being out third if they want it and they got it not a good base running decision by Spencer Horwitz they don’t hit you go to third base and a ball hit in front of you that’s exactly what he did and good play by Adamas to get the lead Runner easily right about there he’s thinking this is not smart hits it to right back Trio he’s got a beat on it makes the catch and the inning ends took 20 pitches but Colin Ray puts up a zero against the Blue Jays Brio’s coming off a good one against the Orioles he went six Innings allowing just two runs this is the guy more than anybody else the Blue Jays want to keep off the bases terang is second in the National League in stolen bases and he lights it and what a catch made by Guerrero at first wow caught on a leap by Guerrero a line drive stolen away from right field BOS points to Vlad there’s one down and he made that play pretty easily this is down the left field line it’s hit pretty well Schneider drifting back onto the track and he’s got room as Brio sets down the Brewers in order in the bottom of the first here’s Willie adamus he’s leading things off for the Brewers against BOS adamus ground ball softly hit towards the middle bashet fields bobles and there’s Adis at first base more than likely going to be a base hit yeah would have been a tough throw for bashet one on here’s Hoskins doing the DH work tonight there goes the runner the pitches strike free the throw down and it skips off the glove of Horwitz into Center but it’s backed up by varo it’ll be a stolen base for Adamas nice job by Horwitz that second base watch the little decoy he provides the ball goes into center field but he keeps the runner there just for an extra second didn’t know where it was so two downs still the runner on second Joey Ortiz up to the plate Ortiz bounces one up the middle again bashet to left he’s got it and he makes a good play to get Ortiz throws across his body long stretch at first by Guerrero and that’ll do it to end the inning Alejandra Kirk getting the start behind the plate tonight hitting 214 batting in the nine spot here’s one blasted to left and it’s gone Alejandro Kirk sends a rocket down the left field line for his second home run of the season and the Blue Jays lead one to nothing solo home run Alejandro Kirk he caught a hanging cutter and banged it into left one- nothing Blue Jays that might be his best swing of the season right there one to nothing Blue Jays bottom of the third on the Kirk home run here’s Jake Bowers and there’s a solid single to Center Bowers leads off with a knock second consecutive inning the leadoff batter has been on for Milwaukee oh they got him yes they did Jake Bowers took two huge steps to second base and was basically committed to go and then buo spun in and they had him easy Cho starting to hit the ball lot more consistently on the barrel and now Cho out towards left that’s got a shot gone solo Homer Jackson Cho tie game good way to respond after the pick off yeah stay hot kid that’d be nice onto the track wal gone Jackson Chio his seventh home run of the season and it ties this game at one and cherio starting to heat up at the bottom of this Brew line up one-1 tie top of the fourth Guerrero bashet and vogle back look out back goes flying and gets stuck in the net all right let’s see what they do about that somebody’s got to go up there and get it I mean that’s stuck in the the hole of The netting that’s one you don’t see every day who’s getting that that’s a great question I think we’re going to need a ladder on top of the Dugout vat’s going to have to use a different bat question is what if it falls out of that netting but I don’t think it’s going anywhere no no time soon well the bat watch of 2024 is still ongoing Justin Turner in between the innings was trying to throw a baseball to try and jar it Loose still stuck one down and nobody on now here in the Brewers half of the fourth Willie with a base hit back in the second inning Adamas deep left Center and the Brewers are going to have the lead number 10 for Willie that was a bomb a hanging breaking ball and Willie launched it out of here into the Brewers Bullpen and adamus two for two to start up the the home stand might be one of those if you can hit it you can name it doas just named that one we have a developing situation it appears as if Phil roswitz in the visiting Clubhouse has come up with an apparatus that may be able to jar that bat loose they have added a ring to try and dislodge This Bat they have it secured right now it’s a fish on a line and it’s down oh Redemption they did it it’s down and now the Hook is stuck you can’t make it up folks oh they got the hook out the bat is free I know everybody was on the edge of their seats and it appears the bat has been returned to its rightful owner and flatty is happy about that come to Papa Bryce terang draws a walk first walk of the ball game for the Brewers and William contr coming up ground ball right side no one does that better terra’s going to go from first to third rers are set up in the sixth that is just vintage William conteras here’s will ad Damas who homered for the 10th time back in the fourth inning terang the runner at third contaras at first Milwaukee already up a run Adamas into left will it be deep enough terang the runner at third he will tag he’s going to try the throw is high terang is safe 3-1 Brewers pressure on the defense yeah terrible throw not able to get much behind that throw I mean you’re not going to be able to score too often on the ball that shallow in the left field with GR rank speed why not chance it they did and it paid off he has been outstanding once again after coming off a relief appearance against the Philly’s four scoreless Innings he’s only allowed one run in six Innings here tonight got him looking Peter on the corner two seam fast ball nailed the outside edge two down here’s former Brewer Daniel vogelbach the pitch and this is line into a leaping glove brought down by Bryce Terra a sensational play by a sensational second baseman and a one two three inning for Colin Ray Heath through seven strong Innings Trevor McGill try to pick up his 10th save yeah picked up number nine on Saturday against the Tigers a three up three down ninth to short adamus on the second hop two away the last hit and base runner the Blue Jays had was Dalton V’s bunt single with one out in the fifth inning well that’s going to do it not the hardest hit ball of his life but it’s a base hit and that’s going to get Guerrero to the plate as the tying run and now the trouble begins now you got the big guys coming up Herrero can turn around a fast ball with the best of them Runner goes ground ball towards the middle terang has it throw a first on the Run why not he does it better than anybody in Major League Baseball Bryce terang and the Brewers Come Away with a 31 win amazing I mean it’s amazing how this team responds in this ballpark they continue to play really good baseball here at American Family field how about this pitching St it’s amazing the blue are held to a run on four hits tonight and they cannot get that win that would have gotten them back to the 500 mark
