so this is what craziness looks like wow this is uh quite the interesting scenario so drama Brewing between the Steelers rival and star receiver so this is a Steelers fan page um part of Sports Illustrated all Steelers right and these articles get written all the time but I thought today we could have a good laugh and just kind of sit here and read what uh this article has to say so let me summarize it in the basic terms that’s like the most basic terms I can summarize it in so the whole point of this article is to say that the Bengals are having problems they’re falling apart they’re collapsing T Higgins isn’t at U mini camp there’s no Way Joe can ever survive this Joe got paid way way way too much money and therefore the Bengals can’t pay anyone yeah and also that Jamar Chase was at training camp but I mean mini camp but at the same time he wasn’t he hasn’t gotten the contract sension so he’s upset it’s pretty much just Chicken Little the sky is falling and they ended off right with the most beautiful statement of all time and I want to skip forward to that because yeah to the point the story has been hammered that Cincinnati Bengals will not be training T Higgins well thank you for saying that but then you finish it off with a stupid take um so let’s go ahead and say this the Steelers have been named a landing spot for Higgins if Bengals decide the part weighs this summer okay if he hits free agency and you pay him the biggest bag of all time I think he probably would go to the Steelers that’s beside the point but what won’t happen is this one the only issue if this uh bang side part weighs right and this is if he is free agency but they’re not talking about if he is free agency they’re talking about if we traded him the only issue would likely come down to compensation as Pittsburgh has not made a move for a star receiver that will require a massive extension in a first round pick to receive meaning that they would have to trade us a first round pick and give him a max extenstion if the price lowers in Cincinnati somehow opens up to trading their wide receiver 2 within the division Higgins would be viewed as an excellent matchup to work alongside George Pickins and Calvin allson within the se’s offense is there really even a point to post this article I feel like at some point you get discredited as in like as a um writer of an article when you post junk like this in what Universe would Cincinnati ever entertain the idea of trading their star receiver for a first round pick which first off I still believe Cincinnati would be very very uptight about even thinking about trading a first round pick for T they would probably want a first plus more just a little side not out there especially especially if it’s within the division they would never in a million years consider trading a star receiver to a team that they play twice a year that’s number one but if they did they would have to get way more from Pittsburg than any other team so it would not just be a first you were asking for way more than just a first but again you read a whole article about well what if the Bengals trade T Higgins to the Steelers and what if pigs fly out of my butt what if I drink Red Bull and grow wings are we just saying idiotic things that possibly could be happening in no near future and not even in any way I love this part of the article as teams across the League hits the field for Mid mini camp cting Steelers and Bengals Higgins was not on the field coulding the NFL Network inport Chase was in attendance despite not having a contract sension well do you want to put in here why he wasn’t on the field or are you just not going to put that part and it doesn’t help what you’re saying so the reason why he wasn’t on the field is because he did not sign his franchise tag yet because he’s waiting for a long-term contract and hoping to get one done um this could be sign signal difficult times for The Bangles that’s just uh the team just signed Joe burrow to an extension in 2023 and we almost definitely signed Chase to a deal after selecting him top 10 as for Higgins despite the two of the Four Seasons being over a th yards with a third hitting 98 yard Mark he doesn’t appear as a high priority as or as likely of a signing as his running mates he’ll still be on the team this whole entire season doesn’t matter and if they want to they could franchise sag him next year and pay him 25 million for one year and keep him on a squad for the foreseeable future no matter what way you sugarcoat this spin this or put this in any way the Steelers are not going to get the guy we’re not going to give you T Higgins we’re going to do everything possible to make sure he does not show up in Baltimore or Pittsburgh or Cleveland like this is not going to happen you guys write articles about this like really I feel like this guy should be fired you watch for Sports Illustrated and you posted articles about how T Higgins might become a Pittsburgh Steeler I might become a Pittsburgh Steeler I’d be a great wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers every time I play the Bengals I would just drop every single pass throw me the ball I throw I i’ toss it right into Mike kelton’s hands some would say I’m uh you know I hate the Steelers but I do hate the Squealers and this is why they need to put down the hopium take a break go for a walk come on Squealers you’re better than you’re really not but still who they who they who they think will beat them Bengals who they who they who they think he beat them Bengals nobody especially not the squiders
