Gatorade x Maple Leafs – Fuelling the Future 2024
[Applause] so we’re here at Ford performance center the official practice facility of the Toronto M police and we’re putting on the Gatorade fueling the future Invitational camp for the best athletes across the province of Ontario all taking to the ice here in an effort to help shape the future of their hockey career and this is a moment in time that you will never ever ever forget this is all about you and so the day in the life of a Gatorade fueling the future athlete is pretty special and so we’ll have our skating coaches out here and we’re going to expose them to experiences that the National Hockey League players would go through you grow up washing the Leafs you grow up drinking Gatorade so to be at a camp represented by them it’s incredible it’s so surreal like walking in the great hockey players they’ve played on this exact same ice I just got to show up and just put all my nerves aside and do great there’s a series of office exercises designed to help them realize what it takes to be an elite athlete the office training was super hard they tried to make it just like the pro and it was a really good challenge I don’t suggest this we allow the athletes to be associated with people that are the biggest Educators in the sport I wanted to listen to every word I hung on every word opportunity is everything don’t take that for granted hockey teaches a lot of things about life in general and that’s get along with people and working hard and being dedicated the most important thing is you got to go enjoy the game you’re talented and you all have incredible [Applause] potential we want North America and the rest of the world to know what we’re doing here by way of shaping the future of these kids and it’s through the fueling the future program with Gatorade my biggest takeaway from all this is just to never stop giving my all as long as I put in the effort why can’t it be me knowing someone’s behind your back and just like saying hey like we’re rooting for you it’s been amazing this event put on by Leafs and Gatorade it’s just a dream come true Gatorade and the trm beliefs have done an amazing job at this whole thing be humble be kind don’t lose sight of how incredible amazing you are and our paths will cross I promise and this is your Toronto Maple Lea Gatorade fueling the future Invitational camp w [Applause] [Music]
