2024 NHL Draft Selections: Ethan Procyszyn (68th Overall, Anaheim Ducks)
unbelievable I mean something I’ve always dreamed of as a little kid playing hockey so it’s unbelievable it’s been unbelievable I mean I have my all my close family here and then I got my bills from back back in Bay and I got friends and coaches and all that I mean celebrating with them after this is going to be unbelievable it’s something I’ve always dreamed of and I mean here my name called is it’s unbelievable how is yeah I mean I’ve had them for two years now and they’re second family to me I mean they’re always they’re always there for me and I mean they’ve took me in their house for the last two years so it’s always cool to have them here and do everything with them so it’s been it’s been unreal um it’s it’s sick I love the orange and the old the old drill I mean they they’re very big on it I mean they’ they’ve took me in as a 16-year-old and they kind of taught me everything I mean they helped me we’ve gone to the conference final last three years in a row now so it’s it’s been very big for me and I mean they’ve helped me a ton over my career so it’s it’s very big time um I love the bright orange and the the old retro logo so for someone who hasn’t seen you play what is your style of game yeah I mean I kind of that my big 200 foot uh relied on rooll I mean that’s something was huge for our team and I mean like bringing that in my that role for those last two years was unbelievable and I think it really helped our team both you the highlight of goals scor does that excite you knowing how much offensive Talent you yeah I mean it’s been it’s been a ton I’ve had a lot of a lot of older guys in our team the last few years I mean I’ve learned a lot from them they kind of took me under the the wing a little bit for the first two year first year or so and I mean they’ve taught me everything they’ve they’ve really helped me so I I take credit to them and I mean they’re they’ve really helped me how much have you and your family enjoyed this the week in Vegas yeah I mean it’s unbelievable walking down that Str it’s crazy at night just to see everything I mean it’s very hot out here but that’s something to get used to what has this morning been like for you the nerves sitting up there yeah I mean the nerves something crazy I mean you never really get this moment ever again and I mean like those nerves kind of just sitting there waiting to hear your name called was something really special when you heard North Bay is the stomach kind of the Butterflies Jump Around yeah it’s kind of relieves a little bit just hearing that name called so it’s something very cool for those who haven’t seor play other of your game what’s your play style like big 200 foot physical player who loves to be loves to be a physical guy in the offense defensive Zone very relied on in every zone of the ice I mean guy who can make offense can really be a relied on guy in defensive zone so I kind of can do it at all and very a smart player what do you think of the New Jersey and the new logo Forex unbelievable I think it’s one of the best serieses in the league so it’d be good to wear one day I asked T about this way you guys played together at the Canadian last year how cool is it to know somebody that yeah it’s awesome me like knowing someone going to a camp with them or just getting draft from them something cool you can talk to them about really anything you be kind of a little more comfortable so it’s awesome and what was that like just to be able to Country yeah I mean that was also a dream come true just competing for the u7s was something I always look for and being able to play in that was unbelievable in terms of development you’re big guy like hit what elements of your G like need to improve on I think my skating I think just the NHL level skating is unbelievable there so that’s something I’m going to be working on for my few years for now but I mean just getting that down can really help me a lot
