Mikheyev MOVED!!! I’m in shock. #canucks

hey everyone it’s rev Trev from Kempner canx so excited today has been insane I am absolutely shocked that we moved MAV are you kidding me I just made a video U I don’t know maybe a month ago maybe less calling the mess of mckv and talked about the three options and just saying trading mcev is almost impossible impossible who in their right mind would want to trade mcev uh would want to get trade for mckv when he’s got 4.75 million remaining on his contract for the next two years he scored one goal in 60 games that’s right one goal in 60 games and he’s just returned from a massive ACL injury and his he’s not back to his normal self nobody wants to do that and and I said in that video that there the only way we’re going to do that if we put a sweetener and I was against us trading a second or first round pick for Mev I’m like that is the worst idea possible but in saying that moving Mev is actually the right move because they were able to pull off some other parts of the deal now I want you to know mckv has a no trade clause or no movement Clause whatever it is has waved his he’s waved his movement no trade clause okay that ju Rick Dolly wall just tweeted this out right now so the deal is done and here’s the deal the Blackhawks get mckv a second round pick and and pending UFA Sam lafy like the rights to Sam lafy for the fourth round pick and I don’t know what if it’s this year or next year probably next year I I didn’t get those details what whatever it is this year next year doesn’t matter what we did was we removed 4.75 million unfortunately we had to give up a second round pick but what it means is this it means that we have cap space to sign someone else now here’s the thing that’s wild the Canucks couldn’t move mcev but milstein and who’s the agent of mckv and zadorov said let me try and and those things have never worked like um you know Garland’s agent or uh uh Brock besser’s agent whoever it is you know they’re like hey you have permission they don’t get the deals done cuz the teams have already done their due diligence and it doesn’t work so how did miline pull out I don’t know I don’t know but basically and then the other side which I think is tied to the story is that milstein said we are patient and waiting to see if we can sign with Vancouver and then he says hey can I also for my other a my other player that I’m the agent for with mckv can I try to get him traded and they pull it off the Chicago Blackhawks pull it off okay so when I’m driving home I hear this news okay and it didn’t says incoming trade Chicago Blackhawks and uh Vancouver kxs and I’m like my first thought I’m not I’m not even kidding you was please let it be Bard please let it be Bard oh please let it be Bard Bedard for Pon I’ve been saying we should be doing for a while now I know that Chicago would never do that but you never know it’s like Chicago and Vancouver it could be then my second thought was it’s it’s G to be mcav and then my third thought was that means we’re signing zidor off and I’m telling you I’ve been saying for forever that we are going to be signing listen this just in again for the thousandth time from rev Trev sedor off is going to resign in Vancouver a signing is incoming now a lot of you when you heard about this trade your first thought was gensel your first thought was Reinhardt your first thought whatever player you want to add to that and I think that’s totally fine I think the are going for a big fish on a Winger on July 1st I I wholeheartedly believe that whether we can land one or not is a different story I think we could go and get zadorov and gensel I I I really do believe that we can get them both but if we can’t it’s not because we got zidor off it’s because gensel is looking to go somewhere else and lebram said that P prier LeBron Bron said that that uh that they were that Carolina is still trying to trade for G or sign Trade sign gensel they’ already traded for him so I don’t think gensel is a slam dunk at this stage would we love to have him absolutely I love the fact that we don’t have to trade for gensel we don’t have to give up any assets just like the lolm trade we gave up so many assets and it didn’t work out he never resigned I hate rental players and I hate buyouts and I hate sweeteners on trades those are the three things I do not like but sometimes you have to do it to make your team great and to make your team be able to compete and I would love it if we can land gensel I I think this is the ideal time if you want to get genel now is the time so I’m super pumped cannot wait hoping that it is going to do a big huge domino effect a lot of people they’re saying we’re going to go and get Joshua no we’re not I I’m I’m sorry but he’s not going to sign in Vancouver everyone I mean if he wants $4 million you got to send him packing right and a lot of people will say the same thing when it comes to zor off he wants too much money let’s send him packing and the reason why they say that is he’s a third third pairing defens no he’s not no he’s not he he literally in the playoffs they played him the second line pairing why because he’s he’s good he’s a second line pairing guy what how much do you pay for people in the second line a good chunk of money so I’m just saying the all these narratives and everyone thinks that they know and I I guess I’m uh guilty of all this because I think I know some things but I’m telling you right now I I think this is all tied with milstein and mcev and zadorov and the kaks and then after that boy I would be thrilled if we could get gensel I’d be thrilled if we could get um um Reinhardt why would he ever leave like think about that why would he ever leave just scored the gate winning goal there’s no tax in Florida whatever they’re going to offer him they’re going to offer him fair market value if not he’s on his way up he’s partying right now and then he’s going to be going somewhere else oh that would be awful I’d love for Ryan Hart to be on our team to play with peton we need somebody to play with Pon and and part of P’s struggles I think was playing with MAV all last year but I mean he had he had kzco he had hog glander he had all kinds of line Partners lyol nothing really clicked for him in the second part of the Season people are saying while he was injured okay whatever we’re going to find out this year we’re going to go get a guy we’re going to get a Winger but some people maybe we can’t land the Reinhardt the gels what about Stam Co I know he’s older just sign him for two more years he’s got all the experience he’s got all the pedigree that that would be a great guy Mar show I love that guy I mean again older couple years contract just give it to him let him go let him play let him have some fun so I don’t know I I’m I’m dying to know what you think post it in the comments but there’s other players like TFI um that could come our way I a lot of people have talked about de brus they’ve talked about arvidson they’ve talked about there’s so much that can happen on July 1 I can’t wait for July 1st to happen but before that I believe that zadorov will sign as a Vancouver Canuck before July 1st and then we’re going to go get someone else and then everyone’s saying we need to get uh Meyers as well I think by uh freeing up this cap space we are going to get zadorov and Myers and a big fish Winger I that’s that’s what I’m predicting the cap space is there we will see what happens it might not work out the way I want it or you want it but I I think Alvine and Rutherford are going to try to make it keep the window is now so they got they got to make things happen now they’re they’re willing to give up some draft picks now to make sure that they have a chance to win to contend to possibly be in the finals to possibly to win that’s the goal here it’s not it’s not to be in the second round and lose in game seven it is literally we are trying to improve and make this team better and here’s the holes and this is how we’re going to feel it again exciting news I cannot believe I’m shocked that we moved mck hope you’re having a great day and uh   6. Bro…. Absolutely on point video! Big Z is staying and he is way better people give him credit for. We might not Guentzel but maybe Toffoli who is a proven goal scorer and he plays great with Petey. That leave some money to find a replacement for Jishua

  8. Now that we have the 4.75 m fro Mikheyev's contract, I hope we get off the Guentzel wagon. Why spend 9.5 to 10 m a year for a guy who has said he wants to play in the U.S.? We can get a very good winger for 5.5 to 6 m and have enough left over in cap space to sign Joshua and Zadorov.

  10. The 4th round pick we get is in 2027. That means Chicago will probably be significantly better and the pick will be lower but whatever at least we cleared that cap space.

  12. Look at the Walman trade details….. This looks significantly better. Walman was given the task of playing tough mins. Ilya got every chance to have success and sh!@ the bed. The Canucks had to retain a bit of money, but there's still 4 million coming off the books and that will help Patrik and Jim make some moves on July 1st.

  14. Zadorov would have looked way better had Ian Cole not played so terrible against the Oilers. For Zadorov though if he is wanting anywhere near 6 mil he needs to walk at 4.5-5 mil is still a bit high but I can live with that. Zadorov was awesome for the start of the Oilers series then disappeared.

  20. This move can literally mean so much…..make room to resign Dak, Z, or go all in guenztel. Also never and I mean never doubt PA on trying to move dead weight lol

  21. Giving a mid player a big contract coming off an ACL tear is something they should have done their homework on. I hope they've learned from this mistake. Now it's cost them a 2nd rounder to get rid of, which means they are 100% mortgaging the future to win now. That's exciting and all, but in 8-10years, get ready for another era of bleakness.

  22. I'm tried of people spoon feeding our supposed top players…if Petterson is the elite player he's signed for he should be able to play with anyone. It's not about disrespecting his abilities but to encourage him to be the player he should be. This is why I wasn't really on board with the Sedins when they had the same issue with Anson Carter. Petterson should not only make his line mates better but the team as a whole better. This is what separates players from having an "A" on their jersey vs a "C." If he remains stagnate in the next few years, I see no reason for him to be here.

  26. Zadorov would be awesome for Canucks…. But my guess is he will now sign with Chicago… Canucks just got his agent to go talk to Chicago and deal Mikheyev but could that sweetener been a negotiated deal that Zadorov also signs there in July yikes!!!!! I hope not but chance to play with Bedard and 5 mill or whatever hmmm…. Time will tell…

    Guentzel also would be awesome to get but I doubt he comes to Canada… govt bs and taxed to death up here make it so hard on all Canadian teams to compete….
