Nashville Predators TRADING Yaroslav Askarov Soon?

hey everybody Welcome toy skate down before we get into the video I just want to say thank you to all my subscribers if you want to join our hockey team it’s free click subscribe hit the notification Bell to all thank you all so much and let’s get started so I want to do a video talking about the Nashville Predators and the future of yaroslav askarov askarov is one of the most highly coveted uh prospects go tending prospects in the NHL this dude is a stud he’s been dominant in the KHL he’s been dominant in the AHL and he feels he’s ready to take that NHL leap him and his agent feel that way but with the the moves that the Nashville Predators have made it puts his future in app Peril right now what’s going to happen with askarov leading into you know the near future so I want to do a video on this so please stay with me throughout so yav askarov what’s his future with the Nashville Predators and will he be traded soon so leading up to the NHL draft the Predators gave an 8year $61.92 million extension to Bender yuss Soros which carries a 7.7 7.74 million cap hit which begins in the 25 26 Season I love this contract for both sides this is a contract that is Team friendly he wanted to stay and be a Nashville predator for for the remainder of his career and you know it was very highly rumored that he was be looking in the 10 Nines in the 10 on his next deal and he signed a very Team friendly deal to stay with the Nashville Predators so it’s a great deal deal for the team and the player but we saw LeBron tweet out that the national predators have received this was prior to the uh NHL draft uh Pier LeBron tweeted out that the nashv Predators have received numerous calls on askarov in the wake of the Soros extension the Predators are willing to move askarov but have set a high price they feel is warranted wanted to they wanted to move into the top five of the draft um but they didn’t get the opportunity to do so and the preds will keep talking to teams while this uh while this goes on uh then in free agency the Nashville Predators hit big they signed some really big names and really sped things up for uh for this upcoming season and you know with the names they signed it was a big thing that happened in the morning where um marcheso was rumored to be signing with the devils and all of a sudden kind of swept off by the nationville Predators because he wanted to sign this with the same team that Steven stamp Co did so Steven stamp Co was the most sought after for agent um a lot of teams were in on him but he chose to sign with the Nashville Predators he signed a 4-year deal worth 8 million aav um you know Jonathan March soon signed after with a five-year Deal $5.5 million aav you saw Brady sha signed for a 7year $7 million aav but the most intriguing one well not the most intriguing one but a curious one to me is that they signed Scott Wedgewood to a 2-year $1.5 million contract uh which carries a $1.5 million aav so after that uh asaro’s agent Dan milstein clouded F asaro’s future with Nashville stating he’s working with the club on different options when it comes to askarov and that he’s proven that he’s an NHL player so due to asaro’s Future in question after the sorrow signing they feel that asgarov is ready to take that leap to the NHL now he’s been dominant in the KHL he’s put up outstanding numbers in the AHL and I know he’s only played three games in the NHL but they feel he’s ready to take that leap and now with them signing Soros to this big extension and then signing Wedgewood you know they he doesn’t want to stay that long in the system to uh you know to break through with the NHL so I’m looking at askarov he’s 22 years old 6’3 176 lbs he’s a 2020 first round pick 11th overall of the national predators carrying a $925,000 cap hit um till the end of the 2425 season where he’s going to be in RFA and this guy’s a proven winner so looking at what he’s won and this is just in 2018 2019 alone the halinka gret grety cup bronze medal he made it to the U7 whc All-Star team he won the U7 best Gaa 1.40 Gaa best safe percentage at a 948 uh the u77 uh whc gold medal uh he made it to the u8 WJ J C Allstar team he won the u8 wjc best goalie and he won u8 WJ wjc silver medal that’s a lot and in 2019 2020 um he he won the yinka Gretzky Cup gold medal the u20 wjc silver medal and in 2020 2021 he won the u20 uh wjc top three player on team and in 2022 2023 uh he went to the AHL All-Star game and the same in 2023 2024 so looking at his stats overall look over the past couple of Seasons he’s played in the 23 24 season he played with the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL he uh he played in 49 games he went 32 16 and one 2.82 GAA and 895 save percentage and he split a couple of games with the uh NHL uh in 2223 he played in 48 games with the Milwaukee Admiral Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL he wenton 266 and5 911 save percentage and a 2.69 ga and for the NHL he’s played in three games he went 1 one and0 2.57 GAA and a 0914 save percentage and another stat he’s the second youngest goalie in KHL history to play at the age of 17 the first New York Islanders goenda soken so what does askarov bring he brings incredible reaction speed he plays with a wide stance but he’s quick to go side to side he’s always in position rarely gets taken out of position um he’s got a great glove hand he catches with the opposite side with his right hand and he’s got fluid movements but this guy is a proven winner and he’s going to be a stud with every team he plays with so as this becomes more available I think asaro’s future is in question right now but you know it’s something that can be wait those two years out with Wedgewood and see what happens or if they really make that push and they feel like he’s ready to go on another team maybe they request a trade and see what happens but this is something that definitely keep your eye out on as the Nashville Predators have made some bold statements in free agency and they got a really good team entering this year so I’m curious to see what happens with this whole askarov thing I hope that Tom fitzerald of the New Jersey Devils gives uh Barry trotz a call and tries to get again I know they’ve been talking but I think his future would be dominant with the New Jersey Devils if they can work out a trade um I know they got March from now for the next couple of years but then after that it’s a question mark with all the goenda is going to be a really dominant goenda one day I could really feel it so comment below what do you think about this what do you think of asgarov what’s going to happen with him in the near future or do you think he just plays out his time and just becomes a stud with the national predators comment below and let me know thank you all so much for watching I really appreciate your time smash that like button if you haven’t done so And subscribe to the hockey skate down it’s free and join our hockey team and share to other friends if you want thank you all have a great rest of the day have a great night take it easy stay safe [Music]

The Nashville Predators made some big moves Leading up to the 2024 NHL Draft and Free Agency with their signings that may change the future of goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov. Askarov was the goaltender of the future for the Nashville Predators, but with Signing Juuse Saros to a long term deal and signing Scott Wedgewood to back him up, may have sealed the fate for Askarov as him.and his agent feel he is NHL ready sooner than that.
Askarov has put up impressive Numbers in the KHL and the AHL and has his sights set in dominating the NHL. Will he force GM Barry Trotz to trade him now as they tried at the Draft and it didn’t happen or could an NHL team who needs a future goalie trade for him.

  1. Unfortunately, Tom Fitzgerald 🤡 & Martin Brodeur hitched their wagons to a couple of old washed up goalies.
In the terms of Allen, totally washed.
Allen only has a job in NJ because he is Martys old golfing buddy from his time in St. Louis.
Markstrom also used to play against Marty.
    Notice a pattern here?

I personally have zero faith in both Fitzgerald & Brodeur's abilities to scout, acquire, develop, & hold on to actual legitimate goaltending talent. Their track record to date has been abysmal.

The Wedgewood waivers debacle for no reaso was one of the worst most baffling moves in NJ Devils history.

Askarov wouldve been great, if we in NJ had a competent front office.

On a side note, Stamkos sure is going to look oh so STUPID when he dons the brutal mustard stained Predators jersey. 😂
