Aaron Rodgers: “Can’t Wait To Play” With Davante Adams..Again | New York Jets

[Music] all right guys what’s going on welcome in so there’s this clip that’s floating around the internet right now regarding Aaron roggers uh and he’s at the golf course right he’s walking around the golf course and somebody’s asking him questions uh one was about Luke gy the new Raiders offensive coordinator who was previously in Chicago before that in Green Bay with Rogers um and kind of uh had nothing but praise for Luke getsy which was awesome but in in regards to Devonte Adams right when Devonte Adams came up uh Roger said I can’t wait to play with him again like just like that there was that little pause in between so you kind of just feel like this uh you know uh bond between these two players this story about Adams joining the Jets or these two guys reuniting in some way is going to continue it it’s going to continue on right no matter the cap situation no matter where the two teams are at you kind of always feel like this rumors is there but you know here’s the reality I think first and foremost the Raiders will not be trading Devonte Adams unless there’s only one possible way that I I really view the Raiders as a team that’s willing to move off of Devonte and it’s once they get to the trade deadline if they’re horrible right if this Raiders team has two wins three wins wins by week nine right because the trade deadline is getting pushed back this season then it would maybe make some uh make some sense for Vegas to say hey you know what Devonte is a you know he a great player but it’s not translating into wins the season has not gone our way we can flip Devonte maybe get a first round pick or get some you know awesome draft Assets in return clear some money Devonte isn’t 24 25 years old maybe it may maybe it makes some more sense to move off of a guy like that at the trade deadline as opposed to you know now or anything like that I I I really feel like there’s zero zero possibility of Devonte Adams getting traded before you know the season starts uh you know especially if the Raiders are winning it just makes absolutely zero sense for the Raiders to move Devonte Adams you know this is yes of course you know you have Antonio Pierce coming in the building but you know aside from that this team has a bunch of veterans on it you Max Crosby you I could sit here for 10 minutes and go down the list of The Talented veteran players that the Raiders have I don’t view this team as a bottom three team in football I don’t view this view this team as a bottom five team in football I know people point to the quarterback position aen noono Gardner mchu and we’ll see how these guys develop or or you know progress throughout the the course of the Season here but you know Aiden oconnell he flashed at at times during his rookie season you know having to deal with the whole Josh McDaniel situation comes in as a mid- round pick I mean he was he he looked functional for sure I I mean is it is it fair to assume that he you know can get a little bit better in in his second year yeah you know I I think when you look at Gardner muu he’s been one of the best backup quarterbacks in football for the last couple of seasons and won a bunch of games for the Indianapolis Colts I mean they were actually in playoff contention up to the last week of the Season where they ultimately lost Houston but you know I’m personally not wrting the Raiders off I I’ve seen a couple mock drafts with the Raiders picking first or pi second or third I’m not going to go that far I I think for me I I think the Raiders are going to win their fair share of games this season not you know guaranteeing 12 11 or anything like that but um yeah I I just don’t see them as a bottom team in football and if they’re not a bottom team in football I just don’t see the jet or sorry I don’t see the Raiders moving off of a guy in Devonte Adams uh unless they want to you know I guess maybe reload or you get a humongous trade package in the building now from the Jets perspective it makes total sense to go get Devonte Right comes in best receiver on the team it would help out everybody obviously he knows hack it he knows Rogers he takes pressure off of Garrett Wilson and uh you know guys like Mike Williams and whatnot but you know again when you’re talking about a trade it takes two to tango this isn’t free agency I wish Devonte Adams is a free agent if he was I I would say that the Jets with a favorite but uh because he’s still on the Raiders and the Raiders have given zero indication to wanting to trade trade Devonte and also too I think this is not you know this is relevant to talk about it’s not like Devonte Adams has requested a trade or or is you know pounding on the table like get me out of here free Devonte any of that stuff like he really seems like he wants to be a Raider um so you know until we hear otherwise until it’s reported that he is requesting a trade until the Raiders are you know losing a bunch of games I I just don’t really feel like at this point in time a Devonte Adams trade is relevant uh or is realistic so anyway limitate your thoughts Down Below in the comment section thanks so much for watching I appreciate it and   6. The way Jets fans temper expectations is utterly sad to me, we clearly are gonna get a Top 5 WR and these tempered reactions are honestly sad 🤦🏾‍♂️ Justified but sad nonetheless. Raiders are bad there are no if ands or buts about it 😂

  7. I agree a trade before the deadline is next to impossible, but I do think the Raiders got worse this off-season, in losing Carr and in losing Josh Jacobs who really was a key part in keeping the offenive pulse alive. I can see them being a bad team this year

  14. Never sleep on Minshew Mania. That mustache will always carry some wins. Raiders i dont think are a great team. But theyre gonna be a competitive team.

    I think its more likely Rodgers plsys for the Raiders next season than DA to the Jets this season or next season.

  21. I know we are “All In,” but do we consider next years first round pick for Adams before the season starts? That’s the only way it happens! If it were possible, would the Jets be wise to do that?

  26. Either Rodgers is messing with the media for attention or he just wants the team/JD to prostrate themselves to get what he wants. His diva act is getting old fast. I hope he flops big time this year so the team can move on next year with a top 10 QB pick.

  27. I think he was talking about Adams playing golf with him in the tournament and Rodgers knowing the way he said it would stir the pot.
