going to at Michigan he’s the oldest player on the Hornets summer league roster and play anywhere around that paint area which could be important if you think about what they lost in Isaiah hartstein and the first basket for understands spacing and understands you know how to command players on the court to get them in the proper places it it makes your offense running Smith missing and now the Knicks have a chance to run kak to topin and they’ll give to speed up or get him off balance he’s always dictating terms on how he Mr Irrelevant right it’s not quite NFL Mr Irrelevant number 58 nice showed about five minutes ago availability he plays literally every single game not only the regular season a year ago but the postseason was dramatically affected by the number of significant have to be happy with the Summer League start so far and Matt Morgan missing a three out of the a dier late first round pick somehow FS hak gets the bucket found himself free misses the three-pointer Compadres here uh listen first first things first special the way that he makes people better the way that he could take over games as a scorer as well talk about some of those young pieces that you’re talking about excited of the Court like you said he makes everyone around him better um I think obviously trying to get Mark Williams back Fort and uh and I think we’ve added some really good youth guy uh young guys in uh T the California classic what have you seen in practice and so far not even two quarters of Summer League he plays so hard and like it’s in and I was like I me do your press conference first and intro you and then we’ll we’ll find some time to get over to the gym but uh we just need more guys that love the game you know not a a lot of success in terms of winning what’s the message what’s the identity what are you trying to establish here early with this group we have to consistently do that and I think that if we just focus on coming in every day working as hard as we can competing as uh growth going forward because I felt like Jason Tatum need’ be the perfect person to ask about this I felt like his next evolution of his game came with Miller I saw him start to do that the second half of last year I still think was more there okay Nick Smith how about that another young Talent right there buy a ticket you come in here you got games all day and if you get bored you can uh just walk up to the Pavilion which is right next door slams court side which is a and I was talking to some some some youngsters yesterday that were here that had big smiles on their faces and they had some programs and a point out some of the guys they saw yesterday and they’ll be more rolling through every day of this league it’s awesome and while the Knicks are starting to Domin that’s that’s something to be really really excited about particularly with lamelo at the point making those guys rotation with the Mavericks who went to the NBA finals and now will find himself probably in the start can shoot the three final 10 seconds of the first half Smith not there but Miller I guess and just real quick as I’m watching Tyler coak play he he’s actually encouraging me now just importantly just how well he delivers the basketball all over the port disperses it who starred at Kansas played at Texas Tech earlier was unavailable late in the season for Kansas for the NCAA tournament uh set up and they’re going to just uh sit him out and he’ll be ready to go for the start of training camp in a couple of months here put going to earn himself a couple of free throws L be their longstanding head coach we saw Tom pppo earlier wo jri morowski coming up after our first time out here with more tals on Jaylen Brunson cuz you and I were kind of finding out live break all that down uh something tells me Jaylen Brunson is going to get that money at some point but it is a is a big story more impressed with Charles Lee always had you know anytime you had a chance to talk with him as an assistant coach but just in those few minutes with us is Brandon Miller and it told me you know he’s a DC guy so he was back at us a Arena when I was playing for the bullets which is which is how you want to utilize brand Miller and get the most out of them Miller taking on D the first rounder bulling him into the lane and a little wheel coming up at Thomas and Mack the other thing about Charles Le Charles Lee was interesting as he was leaving our set he was had the uh the box score in front of him 19 points and five triples I don’t know if he set it on modernizing it picks and young players they keep miles Bridges they have a very good one two three with lamelo B Miles Bridges and you know Brandon about him was how hard he plays how much he loves to play the war you know he targeted and you know took it number six with with a lot of good players still on the board and the thing I like is I just love his shooting mechanics he’s got a really pure bring along guys like Salon you can continue you know you know they brought in Josh green uh we saw T TJ salon at backto back baskets which is good to see and I loved his enthusiasm and exuberance uh
