hello I’m Jeff Ellis locked on MLB draft expert and the co-host of locked on Guardians and this is an MLB draft player profile the number 30 player on the mlb.com board is the 33rd player on by board and that is Cash Mayfield the left-handed pitcher out of Elk City committed to Oklahoma State he is in the second deer of prep arms for me and that’s mostly due to his age and because we didn’t get to see him over the summer I would have liked to seen him face a higher level competition because he’s an advanced pitcher that’s that’s one of his calling cards he has good command good control he has extension which is EXT incredibly valuable it helps his velocity play up his fast ball and change both look like a above average to plus pitches he has shown additional pitches that should allow him to remain a starter but his age is an unusual thing when we talk about 19-year-old high school kid it’s off at someone who May June July his was February so he has always been older than the players he’s playing against and it’s something we don’t see as often it makes me move him down a little bit but still good ceiling mid rotation will be a nice addition for any team
