I’m Jeff Ellis locked on MLB draft expert and the co-host of the locked on Guardians podcast and this is an MLB draft player profile the number 15 player on my board is the number 10 player on the mlb.com board why do we differ well I always get a little more cautious about high school guys who are 19 in around draft day and this particular player is Bryce reneer from Harvard West Lake it’s a Powerhouse High School in California he’s committed to University of Texas I don’t think he’s going to get there uh Short Stops arise they’re the quarterbacks of the NFL draft Bryce reneer is one of the best Short Stops in this class there are those who might see 60s across the board and think he is Cory Seager I’m not willing to put that comp on anyone that’s a lot to put on any player but there’s no doubt that he hits the ball he has excelled against the best levels of competition National High School Invitational he was fantastic this year hit and power are definitely part of his game I think he’s got a good chance to stick it short he’s going to get bigger he’s going to get stronger maybe he goes to third but don’t bet against reneer it’s a fun profile he stands out as one of the Premier shortstops in this class
