Yea… I’m not going to get upset about people thinking the Jets will underperform. They have every right to expect that given the last few decades.
i mean rogers finally playing and being completely washed would be very on brand for the jets.. can’t not acknowledge that after being a fan of this team for like 25 years
As a long suffering Jets fan, I cannot say 100% without a doubt he is wrong.
We went 7-10 with the worst QB in the league, I don’t care if it a 40 yr old Rodgers or Tyrod Taylor I 100% believe that either one of them can be a huge upgrade over Zach Wilson/Tim Boyle. I won’t put on the blame on them but the first Patriots game along with the Raiders and Falcons games was all winnable with a competent QB which would had put us at 10-7.
The Jets are still the fucking Jets until we see otherwise. I’d say the headline hurt my feelings, but it didn’t. Put up or shut up and keep taking it.
Entirely depends on the health of the team.
Moses has been relatively healthy but is coming off a torn pec? I think? Smith is a godsend but no shot he plays all 17 games. AVT needs to prove the last two injuries were just bad luck, otherwise he’s getting the “injury prone” label himself. Williams is a solid No2 but he cants stay healthy for most of his career. And of course, Rodgers. We all know that one.
There is a zero percent chance every player I just named plays all 17 games. But if they can play *most* of them, we have a good shot at playoffs. I don’t see why not. Especially with that defense. We need to act like it’s 2009 and 2010 and pound the rock. We don’t need MVP Rodgers, we need a competent QB with a damn good team around him.
And if all or most of those players miss significant time, we’re just last years team again. And we’ve already seen, no matter how good this defense is, it just can’t carry a lifeless carcass of an offense of the playoffs.

Can’t get upset that someone would doubt, but this is one of those takes that will make a guy look foolish for betting against a team that has obviously been on the verge for the last 2 years, and actually decided to fix it’s two biggest needs this past year. Even if A-Rod falls through and doesn’t play the whole season, I have faith that this team can win some games with Tyrod, or if it needed to just about any other QB that can play with some semblance of competence.

Even if Rodgers is the 20th best QB in the league, he is still infinitely better than the guys we had last year that got us 7 wins. I know we are the Jets, but this article is hilarious. Took him 7 paragraphs to write “i think Rodgers will get hurt again or suck.” Hell of an analysis.

The defense is gonna be unreal
I mean I don’t think there is anyway in hell that our offense is worse this year than last year right? Defense is still stacked. Unless we have a lot of injuries I just don’t see how we don’t get at least 3 more wins especially since the schedule is easier.
Yes! Loving this negativity and doubt. Much prefer to hear this than everyone being high on the Jets and calling them Super Bowl contenders, that shit never ends well. Much better that they stay under the radar and get doubted
