So much unique hockey material from the 50s to 80s. Some cool 70s stuff on Russian hockey. Shows the evolution of the game. 50 bucks very well spent!

  1. I’m willing to bet there is very little, if any, on training goalies. I’d be curious if i was wrong

  2. The Russian hockey packet seems like it’d be very interesting. That was a great era for soviet hockey and hockey in general.

  3. Nutritional guidance:
    – water causes cramping
    – cigarettes between periods/shifts increase lung capacity
    – eat a big plate of pasta right before warm-ups

  4. Dang … A manual from the godfather of Soviet Russian hockey himself, Anatoli Tarasov.

Also, not sure it’s the same guy but that one book coauthored by Jean Perron … I believe he coached Montreal and won the Cup in 1986

  5. The Isles ‘73-74 training camp guide is for Denis Potvin’s rookie training camp. I have a copy but I haven’t seen another before. Whose boxes were these?

  6. What a score. I don’t think I’ve ever found anything half as good at a yard sale. Enjoy them, keep us posted on your progress to the NHL coaching ranks.

  7. It’s kind of sad to see a life’s work boxed up for fifty bucks. But everybody dies, I suppose
