  6. How the hell can it be a risky gamble? We had reggie prior to that? Risky gamble would be going from "an ok" backup PG to Russ.. we had a shitty bench, i only see an upside.

  7. Your Favorite Lakers Fan here. When does Russ come in where the media will be able to talk to him and such. He is such nice human, please treat him well. You are more than welcome to criticise his game and such. My Lakers destroyed him bad, he is a LA guy and we let him go. I think he will do great with a lot selfless players around him.

  8. What team wouldn't want an energetic, enthusiastic, aggressive 0 BBIQ, 0 self-awareness, bricklaying turnover machine that opponents will leave alone so they can crowd Jokic and Murray MORE.

    Dressbrick has terrible hands, too. So the scenarios of him driving the ball into what? A missed layup? Is just hilarious.

  12. At first I was shocked to see a well run club like the nuggets would want to sign a journeyman like Russ when other quality PG FA (spencer deanweidee and smith Jr or even Fultz, whose outside shoot is as broken as russ but makes much better basketball decisions than Russ).

    But when I dig deeper to what they did after winning the championship (KCP brown), I begin to understand why. Letting quality players go while signing significantly inferior replacements on the cheap appear to be the club’s latest strategies. And signing Russ is perfectly jn line with such direction.

    And looking at the positive comments by fans here who naively believe Russ can miraculously turn around and become someone who maintain his strengths (hardly any nowadays) while avoiding his long list of glaring weakness under their hero Jokic, I suspect there’ll be lots of expectation adjustment over the next 12 months.

    The interesting thing is, what I hear from the fans on how Jokic can get the best out of Russ like no one else does is exactly what we heard from the lakers and clippers fans expect lebron and Kawhi. How Russ can complement (detriment) these stars to another level. In the end, they all realise that there is a reason why they can land russ at a “bargain” price – that’s because the concerns by the other 28 NBA GMs on Russ are real. And stop loss is the only way forward when it comes to Russ.
