Baltimore Orioles vs San Diego Padres | LIVE! Play-by-Play & Commentary | 7/27/24 | Game #104

The Orioles endured another ugly loss in the series opener against the Padres. Grayson Rodriguez was off to a nice start, tossing five shutout innings while the Birds built a 2-0 lead. But the wheels fell off as the bullpen could only add fuel to the flames of a Padres four-run rally, with some shoddy defending on our part thrown in. We managed to come back to tie the ballgame but for the second straight day, Craig Kimbrel entered the game and got smacked, coughing up a go-ahead two-run bomb to Jurickson Profar. We did see the debut of a couple of new players who came over in the trade of Austin Hays, as Seranthony Dominguez threw a scoreless inning and Cristian Pache came in to pinch run. Today, Dean Kramer will be on the mound, hoping to leve this series, with Michael King the opposing pitcher. So grab a snack, a cold one or six and enjoy the ballgame. Thank yooooouuuuuu.
