A tale as old as time

  1. FTP we could be a serious contender if the pohlads cared. an all star WS winning short stop. a young and promising pitching staff. a lethal batting order when healthy. a top defensive unit in the league.

theres no good reason not to invest in the team, but they just dont.

  2. I’m not sure why people woke up upset today? We are winning series pretty consistently. Our rotation looks pretty damn solid. We have enough depth to stash and forget about Julien and Kirilloff.

Who are the Twins supposed to trade for?

  3. The Pohlads should have to stand in front of the media and take questions about their cheapness. Don’t hide behind Dave St. Peter or Falvey/Levine. Don’t just leak to the beat writers that we’re “cash strapped” at the deadline. Speak to the people that paid to build your stadium.

If we ever somehow win a WS in spite of our ownership refusing to try, it’ll be a shame that one of those cheapskates get to lift the trophy before any player/coach/scout/trainer/FalVine or anyone else that did something to actually help the club.

  4. Meanwhile, the fans stop filling the stadium and the Pohlads make the surprised Pikachu face.

  5. With any baseball franchise, there’s a time to buy (playoff contention) and a time to sell (20 games below .500).

You HAVE to make that push to add pieces when you are a playoff contender because it doesn’t always come along and it’s never guaranteed year to year.

It was a slap in the face to cut spending a year after that nice playoff run, they need to get something done or the fans have every right to scream FTP!

  6. Funny how that new ballpark was supposed to help address this or something.

  7. even if the pohlads gave the green light to add payroll, falvine would just go trade for a guy who’s arm is about to fall off. they love those guys

  8. Given the restrictions that the FO is under, I would not complain if the Twins don’t make a deal. But we should all be clear that these restrictions *are* fake, and that the Polhads really should be going for it this year given the offense we have.

  9. I said this before the season started and got a lot of heat from the Pohlad protectors. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  10. I can’t imagine a scenario where this doesn’t negatively affect everyone. Your players know that you are not committed to winning or even paying them competitively, your coaches know you don’t support helping to meet their needs to win a championship, your front office knows that their chance of success is smaller and their job is getting more difficult, your fans know that you’re too cheap to care about winning despite being some of the richest owners in baseball, and all future free agents/coaches that we try to convince to come here in the future will know that Minnesota is not serious and should be avoided.

I can’t say fuck you loud enough and hard enough to the Pohlads right now. Sell the team, assholes.

  11. There’s a few teams with better records than us, but I honestly only fear the Guardians, Orioles, Astros, and maybe Dodgers.

Should we spend a lil on another arm? Yeah of course, but we’re not being financially cheated out of a good team this year.
