  1. At least he’s heading out while he can still do it. It’s a shame what happened with Jack Edwards

  2. Give him one more run, please. This season has to be special. Can’t let him go out on a whimper

  3. I stg they better do what the Sabres did with Rick Jeanneret and hang a banner honoring Sam, he is the embodiment of Rangers hockey

  4. So many legendary calls over an amazing career. On the day he retires, we should all consume the pizza in his honor.

  5. We are losing legend after legend these days. First Jeff Marek, then WCBS 880 and now this. I can’t take it!

He’s basically the voice of the NYR for almost my entire life (close to mid-40s). I knew this day would come.

  6. This day was always coming but damn, my childhood is in shambles right now.

    Let’s savor this season, gents.

  7. Sucks to see it officially in writing, but so well deserved. Proud to have been able to listen to a legend

  8. Idc how old he is, I love Sam. Been there my whole life. Sad (but also congrats and great for him lol)

  9. Big shoes to fill there. Grew up with him calling NYR games. Enjoy retirement Sam! We’ll miss you.

  10. We need a Thank You Sam chant going up from the Garden whenever his last game is.

If it’s in the playoffs we do it every home game God forbid we don’t get one more.

  11. This might be the biggest loss I’ve ever felt ever. I have no idea what the rangers are without Sam. We have to win it all. End in a blaze of glory

  12. Sam Rosen has been the voice of the Rangers my entire life. It was so weird when JD left, and it’s going to be so weird not hearing him call every game.

    The greatest of all time.

  13. I hope that when the Blue Jackets come to town they invite John Davidson to the booth
