I think Heinicke would have been an asset in the QB room, not only was he a quality backup, he would have helped Cousins prepare for games. Penix is a rookie, doesn’t know much about NFL game. Hopefully they bring in a veteran.

Josh from the Athletic keeps asking about Kirk's note-taking every few weeks. He even asked Penix about it a few times. The coach had told him that a lot of greats he has been around don't take notes to that level but they do other things like watching days of film. Not sure why Josh is enamored with trying to equate note-taking to being great and then trying gauge Penix by how he transcribes what he learns.
