On his birthday, I’d like to give a shout-out my all time favorite baseball player – Bernie Williams. A Yankee for life who was at the heart of the 90s dynasty. Thanks for the memories and many, many wins.

  1. Bernie was so under rated for his contributions because of the rise of the Core 4. He was always, always solid and deserves so much more credit then he gets!

  2. Bernie MVP!

I don’t know if anyone remembers this; but there was a promotional video about the 1998 season Yankees where a fan yelled “Bernie MVP”. As a 4 year old I loved that guy and loved cheering for Bernie. I can’t find it anywhere online anymore though

  3. First Yankees game I ever went to he hit a home run. Instantly made me a huge fan, and it was great seeing him play during an era where the Yankees were truly dominant.

  4. My all time favorite as well. Got to briefly meet him once at a signing. Such a gentle and kind soul. Bern baby, Bern!

  5. There was nothing like Bernie getting a clutch hit at the old stadium and hearing the bass on disco inferno booming from the old speaker tower. Shit went hard as fuck.
