Bernie was so under rated for his contributions because of the rise of the Core 4. He was always, always solid and deserves so much more credit then he gets!

I don’t know if anyone remembers this; but there was a promotional video about the 1998 season Yankees where a fan yelled “Bernie MVP”. As a 4 year old I loved that guy and loved cheering for Bernie. I can’t find it anywhere online anymore though

First Yankees game I ever went to he hit a home run. Instantly made me a huge fan, and it was great seeing him play during an era where the Yankees were truly dominant.

There was nothing like Bernie getting a clutch hit at the old stadium and hearing the bass on disco inferno booming from the old speaker tower. Shit went hard as fuck.
