The only MLB player to hit 20 home runs for two different teams in the same year is Mark McGwire. He accomplished this feat in 1997 when he hit 34 home runs for the Oakland Athletics before being traded to the St. Louis Cardinals, where he hit an additional 24 home runs, bringing his season total to 58.
Diamondbacks pitching is nearly dead last in the league with an abjectly low ERA+ of 92. This is not the makeup of a pitching staff that can carry this team deep into playoffs by any metric. If they manage not to fall apart in the last 2 weeks of September they'll show their incompetence in the wildcard round all thanks to their horrendous pitching. One universal truth in baseball is you cannot out-hit bad pitching for long.
mets lost precisely bc they DIDNT IW!!!
