Shohei Ohtani is the best of all time many this this year. MPV hands down.
Silly. You have to get HITS (generally speaking) before you can score runs.
Just because in recent years it has become fashionable to pooh-pooh Batting Average (you'll hear EVERY YouTube presenter parrot one another in making this statement whenever the matter's disccussed) doesn't mean we should discard Logic and Sanity in the interest of hopping on the bandwagon.
What's more, the Greatest hitters, to a man (Ruth, Gherig, Williams, Aaron, Mays, et al., ad nauseum) ALL had high batting averages. Just like Judge, and – to a lesser extent – Ohtani.
5 game winning streak to end the season, just looking forward to the weekend.
Arraez high average but low RBI..
A: 46
O: 130
Win a WS. MVPs are for the players not the team
Ohtani has paid the Dodgers back for all they spent on him all in his first season with all the merchandise of his that has been sold and his amazing first season and now the playoffs , pretty good return for your money and he's just getting started
I would bet that if the current playoff format continues for a long time, say for the next 20 years, it will turn out that teams with a first round bye do, in fact, have a significant advantage. There's a lot of luck in baseball, and sometimes the best team doesn't win in the short run, because lady luck wasn't on their side for a game or two, but given enough of a sample size, we will eventually find that the majority of the teams that advance to the LCS, to the World Series, and win the World Series, will be from the teams that had that first round bye.
All I can think about now is how we can avoid what happened the last two years in the playoffs…
Shohei's BA has been .310 while L.Arráez .314. HE missed Triple Crown(3.0) but apprx. 2.9 Crown👑🤪 Well anyway it's Clear and Present NL-MVP for Shohei🎉
DODGERS DODGERS… what you gonna do, what you gonna do… when it comes for you🤘
MVP Ohtani should deserve a triple crown.
Ohtani => 54 HR, 130 RBI, .310 Avg, 1036 OPS
Luiz Dias => 4 HR, 46 RBI, .314 Avg, .739 OPS
Get ready to cry fellas cause Dodgers , whether it be NLDS,NLCS or World series they're choking. It's in their blue blood
Great show! Thanks for adding Time and Chapter stamps. I’m usually quite nervous about the postseason, even with all our regular season success. I’m not a fan of Dave Roberts during the postseason, but this year feels different. The Shohei effect seems genuine, and with decent pitching and above-average offense, we’ll be tough to beat!
