9. That stadium is in lock step with the city for a long time. Been slowly deteriorating for decades. Sucks to move the franchise. Really hope they get a new owner at some point

16. As a fan of baseball the last couple of games in Oakland hit me a lot harder than I was expecting.

    As a life long Cubs fan I want the true Oakland faithful to know they’re not alone in their collective mourning of such a loss.

29. It was the crying music… I was there on that Thursday sec 120 row 15 man the emotions were so high.. here we are just over a week later and I stand eating tacos in my kitchen now shedding a few tears again. . I can't believe it

33. I’m actually glad (as a rangers fan) that we lost. Oakland deserves one last thing to be happy about.

35. Yankees fans feel your pain. Even though we got to just move across the street for the new stadium. The stories of an old ball park do for more when bringing a kid to it and sharing those stories of who did what on that field decades before. Going to the New Yankees Stadium isn't even close to how it felt at the old one.

    Being able to see where Lou, Mickey, Roger, Joe, and so many legends play as I grew up going to games in the late 90s and early 2000s was a great experience. It was like walking into a time machine, and I feel for Oakland in that same way. So many greats played at that stadium, and it's hard to accept not just losing the stadium but the team moving to a new state. It's heartbreaking.
