  27. This almost made me cry. Volpe wanted to be Jeter his whole life. Now he got to be there with Jeter, and a rod. Could hardly even talk, then Jeter says lots of kids wanna be you. So perfect

  28. For the first time, I actually have love for Big Papi for the way he congratulated and recognized the innate talent of the young ballplayer, Anthony Volpe. Bravo, Papi! And can you imagine how Anthony felt when his idol told him that New York, and New Jersey kids want to grow up and be like him?
    WOW! The Volpe family must be on cloud 9! What a great post-game interview with the star of the game!

  41. He’s been compared to Jeter for quite a while coming up for his play. Now it’s obvious that he is showing signs of being Jeter’s successor in character and humility. He has the chance to join the ranks of Yankee greats. It’s VERY early but fun to imagine. Stay healthy, focused and team oriented kid. We are rooting for you.
