Orlando Magic’s shooting issues + bench struggles: A challenge beyond Paolo Banchero’s absence

The biggest question the Orland Magic face after their loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder centers on the simplest thing in basketball — their shooting. A dismal 5-for-34 performance from three is holding the team back from measuring any progress as they find their footing without Palo Banchero.   2. It's frustrating right now. I have to believe the shooting will improve. It's great that the rookie has got time and proved he can contribute. Hopefully some others will emerge as well.

  3. Giving up 39 points in the first quarter is not good defense. We have been sold this defense first mentality, but when you can't shoot it makes no difference. An ugly loss is still an ugly loss.

  5. Please stop this Franz best shoot on the team by percentage. You always try to find a way to make him out to be this superstar player so bias when it comes down to him, don’t ever hold him accountable. If you do hold them accountable, you say we know have to get better but this and that.

  6. Seems like Paola covered up all the mistakes made by the team.. not getting a real point guard resigning the same injury prone players and not addressing the shooting problems from last year

  9. lol man PLEASE stop with the overly optimistic outlook, they didn’t play good, they don’t look good. This is a problem going back to last season that was ignored and now the worst case scenario has happened with Paolo being out. The most fundamental part of basketball is put the ball in the hoop ! How do you have NBA players that can not shoot ?!

  11. Still the same thing. from my viewpoint…. the magic are still hurrying their shots… "fast is slow. slow is fast". and someone who passes the ball to another player with less that1.5 seconds on the shot clock should be listed as a turnover. !!!!
