Honestly, pretty surprising. Not because his defense isn’t worth it, just that it typically goes to a better hitter.

That’s actually wild. Good for him!
U absolutely love to see it
TIL that there is a gold glove awarded to utility players…..which feels like being awarded as being the best at being not quite good enough to warrant an everyday position?
I am a certified Triolo hater, but this is awesome for him. Figured he wouldn’t get it because Donovan has the bat and more notoriety.
Triolo is one of those guys that if this FO provided the team with a few genuine bats wouldn’t be as maligned as he is. If this team was able to have guys like Soto or Freeman in hitting positions Triolo could just be this guy every year with no problem. But alas, this team needs everyone to be a good hitter to win.
Hell yeah Triolo! Congrats and well deserved
I’m shocked, but so happy for him. I like Jared.
He legitimately started games at every single infield position and did so at a high level. He even played 2 inning in the outfield. He may be a below average hitter, but I’m very happy to see him get recognition for how impressive that level of versatility is.
hell yeah
Build the statue.
Sick
Congrats Jared! I’ll be honest, I thought his nomination was throwing a down in the standings organization a bone to have something to feel good about the season.
Awesome! Now sell high!
So happy for Jared!! He deserves this.
Bob Nutting also won it in the Owner category since he never dropped his wallet.
Wow what a roller coaster for Triolo.
First he starts the season as the regular second baseman. Then he gets benched. Then he starts playing all over the field and picking everything that comes his way, even though he still can’t hit. Finally he ends up as the sort-of starter for the last quarter of the year at third base, with his bat showing modest but real improvement.
Then he wins the Gold Glove.
Baseball is such a strange and wonderful game, isn’t it?
Well deserved. He was great at every position they put him in this year
